Perfect Size

I debated on what size to purchase and settled on the CFX3 25 and I’m pleased with my purchase. The CFX3 25 fits perfectly in both my vehicles and is not too heavy to carry around. Anytime larger or heavier would not have been as convenient. The cooler is quiet and powerful. I really like the Bluetooth features which allows me to turn my cooler on prior to trips. Very rugged and well built. I also purchased the protective cover which fits like a glove. Very happy with my purchase. Looking forward to years of enjoyment.

We drove over 1400 miles in a little less than three days and the Dometic CFX3 25 kept us going with fresh food and cold drinks. Not having to stop for fast food made our trip more efficient and undoubtedly healthier. The Dometic PLB40 battery did its job too, keeping the refrigerator powered up without needing to rely on the car’s battery. It still had almost 40% charge when we arrived at our destination.

I have the CFX3 35 and it has been a fine cooler. I just purchased and received the CFX3 25 (sometimes we would like to have a smaller cooler for our SUV). It does cool quickly and the interior space is just fine for us. Unfortunately, the CFX3 25 is MUCH louder (vs the CFX3 35) when the compressor is running. It would probably be impossible to car camp / sleep with the compressor running nearby (it's that loud). Sadly, we will be returning the CFX3 25 (love the size/footprint but the noise is unacceptable). Not really sure why Dometic designed this cooler without considering the noise levels (note: when the compressor is NOT running, it is quiet but boy, oh boy it's too loud when the compressor is running).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome unit

Have had this for over a year, and have taken it with on a number of weekend trips in my SUV. Keeps a consistent temp, even on hot days. Extremely quiet - really don't even notice it running while driving, and at night, it is right next to my head, and the compressor it very quiet. Love that it has two power connectors, so I can cool it down in the house before bringing it out to the truck, and can then use it in a hotel if I choose to.

Louder than the CFX3 55IM

Bought this based off of the 55IM that I also own, I didn't hesitate to get this unit because I'm very happy with how quiet my 55IM is. According to the specs this unit should be even quieter than the 55 and after several uses I can definitely say that the 25 is significantly louder. Also wiped the unit down with a clean wet cloth and the Dometic branding started to smudge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect size for weekend getaways

This is the perfect size for just a few days (or more if you don't need much). Lighter/smaller is better in a lot of ways - so if you're looking for the same great quality from Dometic in a smaller/lighter form-factor, the 25 is the ticket.

I now have a couple cross country trips with this unit and so far I couldn't be happier. Perfect size for the road trips where it is kept in the cab of my Superduty versus in the bed where I have to keep my larger Dometic fridge. Also very quiet and efficient and works great when used in combination with a PLB40 battery.
