Idiot Proof

We have Lutron/Caseta smart switches in three houses in two countries. Install is simple and set up for Wifi control from the app is even more idiot proof.

Great smart switch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using this smart switch in the kitchen which is just off our living room. It’s nice towards the end of the evening to be able to switch off the kitchen lights without having to get up. Sometimes we want to watch tv without the kitchen lights so this switch fit our needs perfectly. Easy to set up and even easier to use!

My family absolutely loves it and I can’t believe how easy the process was to install it. It works amazing and I would recommend.

The remote is very convenient to have on the couch next to me to easily turn off the light whenever I want to watch a movie or take a nap. I especially like the sleek look of the wall plate.

Claro Smart Switch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to switch a pair of accent lights that frame my garage door so that they would come on at dusk and go off at dawn (thus not run during the day). This switch replaced a standard decora switch. The lights may be turned ON/OFF and this unit works with a hub that along with a phone app allows remote use AND scheduled use. So I have exactly what I want. The lights are scheduled to come on at dusk and go off at dawn and I don't have to remember (especially to switch them off during the day).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy-ish to install!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was about skeptical about this switch for a few different reasons. One, my house is old and I wasn't sure if it even had a neutral wire, which is required for the installation. And two, I've always used smart bulbs and never an actual smart switch. My first worry was eased once I got the switch plate off for the original switch and realized that my house does, in deed, have a neutral wire. Once that was established and out of the way everything else was smooth saíling and the installation was a breeze. My next worry was because I'd never used a smart switch before. The smart bulbs I've been using have started getting laggy. I can tell Alexa to turn the light off or on and it sometimes takea up to a full minute to respond. Since installing this switch in my bedroom, I haven't had this issue anymore. I can just use the remote and turn the light off or on from bed. I plan to continue transitioning from my current smart bulbs to smart switches. Once I make the switch to all switches I'll probably invest in the hub as well so it can be voice activated.
