One of the filters would not go in all the way

Threw 2nd one in garbage because it would not go in. Now there is water all over my floor so I need to get another one and hope it works.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very hard to get water to flow

Whirlpool has changed something.......these filters used to work 100% out of the box, but that last 3 filters I have installed (direct from Whirlpool) have been VERY hard to get water to flow. My latest one still barely flows, yet if I install an old filter, water comes out normal.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

TERRIBLE TASTE

Bought this filter, followed the instructions and our water ended up having an EXTREMELY bad chemical taste to the point it almost burned your mouth. We took the filter out and started using just tap water

I have been replacing the filter as the caution light comes on since I purchased the house with this refrigerator. I rely on the filter as an extra layer of protection from contamination in this area.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Been buying and changing these filters for years. Now they no longer function. They allow almost no water through making them completely useless. Do yourself a favor a just get rid of your Whirlpool appliances.

Not only does it reduce the amount of lead in your water it's certified to reduce 73 contaminants in your water which is awesome!!
