Money trap!

So i bought this for my son last christmas its now november. The battery lasts one hour which is whatever. But the entire unit is a converted tablet from 2010. The screen gives me flash backs of those cheap burner phones. They want 15 dollars a month to run the tablet. Then if you want a game they are upwards of 40 dollars 10 bucks being the cheapest. Its a really bad tablet all around. Everyone I know recommends the amazon fire, maybe just go with that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good educational tablet

My son received this tablet for Christmas and he loves it. There are so many educational apps he can use right out of the box. Bonus that I can limit screen time too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wonderful Educational Toy

I’m surprised to see low scores and misinformation in the reviews for this product. I recently bought one for my child, and we are very happy with it. We’ve had LeapFrog toys for years, and they have all been great quality- this product is no exception. It is Not a substitute for an iPad, Amazon Fire or other tablet of that sort, nor does it claim to be. It is a completely different item. Therefore, you can’t load it with any of the generic apps made for a tablet; only LeapFrog apps can be downloaded. These come in a wide variety of subjects and are high quality, educational and fun. Some of them are already on the LeapPad when you buy it, others can be purchased from the online store. They cost $5 to $25 and once you buy them they are yours for life. I had purchased many apps for LeapPad Ultimates we had previously, and as soon as I set up this new LeapPad they all automatically downloaded onto it- it was seamless! The Leap Academy subscription is completely optional. You get 3 months for free, and if you want to continue it costs $8 per month or $40 per year. You can cancel the subscription and just play the downloaded apps and it will still be tons of fun. The battery lasts for several hours. Highly recommend this product!

Disappointed..CAN NOT add Netflix

Not as expected. Can't download Netflix to add to main screen for my child. This was the main reason I bought this as was very happy with the epic version that sadly after many years finally died. I figured I could have a learning aspect along with netflix..and not have to worry about him getting into any other things with the parental controls. You can open it under the internet tab but that's about it - very inconvenient for me to have to watch that hes not clicking or add anything else that he shouldn't be. Very disappointed. The screen aswell looked slightly off in a light angle way.
