I just plug it into my ThinkPad and it is ready to go. It has superb picture quality. The Lenovo Display Control Center and Lenovo Accessories & Display Manager software are very useful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to another reviewer who gave the tip that if you put the brightness down to around 20% you can power the monitor with your USB-C android phone, and it's still plenty bright. This allows me to use a portable monitor for my laptop as well as have a nice screen to enlarge phone entertainment while on a plane and otherwise travelling. Another cool feature is pass-through power. My Lenovo Thinkpad only has one USB-C port for power, but you can hook up the M14d for screen display in one USB-C port, and hook power to the other port and your laptop will still charge. Works for my phone as well. This fits all of my checkboxes for features and more.
