Its ok, but I expected more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do absolutely love Canon, so maybe I expected too much from this printer. The super upside to it is, of course, the ink levels, it can literally do thousands of copys, scans, or photos. I think if I utilized my computer more I wouldn't have had such a hard time transferring so much data over to print what I needed, and don't forget a USB to hook these two up when you purchase, as it does not come with one. Also, I'm using a Chromebook OS, so its Bluetooth will not hook up to my phone. And although the display seems easy enough, there is no straight forward directions, you have to go online for setup, and navigate yourself to the manual. I kept getting an error code because it said the size of paper was not the size I chose on the printer and computer, which were all set to letter paper as thats the size I was using, so that was a hot mess. The picture printing quality was ok, but this is where I expected more, and an easier interface to print the size and quality your looking for. I would definitely go for the wireless version if you want to use it with your phone, or need multiple computers hooked up to the same printer, or if you just like the simplicity of navigating things on your phone as I do. Overall I think its ok, but my only upside to this particular printer is the amount of ink it stores, otherwise, I'm not that impressed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great printer but no WiFi

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the printer it self is very nice and I like being able to refill the ink using bottles vs replacing whole cartages. Biggest downside was the it does not have WiFi which is weird because most items now are WiFi enabled.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy with this printer. My only problem is that I couldn't get it to connect to wifi. I had to buy a usb cord to hook it up to my computer. Other than that the printer prints just fine and the pictures are so colorful. I used this to print stuff for my crafts.

For one thing, it doesn’t come with a usb cable to connect to computer. This doesn’t really make sense since it isn’t wifi enabled. So that’s a separate cable you need to buy before you can use the printer.
The display on the printer is small and a bit hard to read.
The printer has ink indicators but they are a bit hard to see.
Overall this printer is pretty clunky and takes up a lot of space.
I found an operating manual online that is 300 pages and a bit confusing.
I think you can only scan one page at a time - it doesn’t have a feeder.
It comes with bottles of ink that you have to pour into the machine instead of cartridges.
Not the most modern printer but the pages I printed looked good.

Great Features

We did have some issues setting this up but the technical support was very helpful and got us on our way. Nice clear precise color lines and very fast at reading from computer to printer. Nice small printer that takes up very little space on your desktop yet prints nice quality prints

The ink also lasts a very long time too! The adjustable settings for color and black and white make it even better. It’s not messy either. The 3 in 2 makes it so convenient! And it’s energy star!!
