Good prints, long lasting ink tanks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a printer for homeschooling purposes that printed a high volume of good quality images and worksheets, without constantly needing to replace expensive ink cartridges. This printer is fantastic. It prints fast, clear images, and the ink tanks last forever, like thousands of pages, compared to a standard 88-100 max with a cartridge. The only pitfalls of this are that is has no WiFi connectivity abilities, and uses a cable which was not included with the printer package. I had to purchase that separately. The cable that the manual specified to use was also not the correct cable type… not sure what happened there. I often print materials straight from my smart phone, so no WiFi connectivity is a little bit inconvenient. Other than that, I’m super happy with the printer for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my ancient Cannon inkjet printer I had for Four years with this PIXMA 1230. My new printer is amazing! No more replacing expensive cartridges that last only a short time. Love the ink tanks, printing quality and printing speed is great. Prints on a variety of media and is economical. If you're looking for a reliable printer, I recommend the PIXMA 1230.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this printer for my daughter to use for college. She is really happy to have a printer for herself. It prints smoothly and evenly. It connects really fast to her laptop and gets the order to print in seconds. It does a really great job in printing in black and white and color. It really is a good printer to have and to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set up was easy after downloading directions from the App Store. It was dummy proof with the ink fitting in specific areas, no spillage. Did not come with a paper manual but the app had one. Prints clear.

Perfect for heavy printing, but not much else.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This printer does a great job at just printing. Which is exactly what I got it for. The set up was quick and easy, and filling the ink tanks is quicker and simpler than changing cartridges. Just open the port for each color, attach the bottle, and gravity does the rest. The print quality is great for what I need, mainly text but the few images I printed came out great. I haven’t printed any photos on specialty paper but I’m hopeful they print as well as the documents I’ve sent through. I must stress that this is a basic printer, it does not scan or copy. With all the pdf scanner programs on smart phones today, I figured I could get by without a built in scanner. The one feature that would make this printer better would be WiFi connectivity. We are a house of 5, each with our own devices. It has been a little bit of a hassle for each of us to go to the office and plug in when we want to print, but it’s not a deal breaker.
