The best thing about this product is it’s ability to stop spills when you’re walking around with your cup. The lid, in fact, does keep the coffee warmer longer when it is on and closed.
Sadly, it is not as easy to drink from as other similar products I have used with liquid containers. It seems like the opening is too deep to the rim to be optimally effective in closing all the gaps to prevent coffee from escaping at the corners where the lips do not make a firm contact with the surface of the lid.

This is amazing product! Not only does it keep my coffee warm longer it prevents accidents with cats getting too curious about my Ember mug. I wish this was available years ago when I bought my first Ember mug.

Lid keeps popping up. Tried both with the slide open and closed, either way, the lid does not secure to the cup, so when drinking, it dribbles everywhere.

Works well to extend the battery life of the Ember mug battery and at least doubles the amount of time coffee is kept hot. However I find drinking from the lid is not as comfortable drinking from the cup itself and not as as pleasing as using covers from other brands such as Yeti.

the lid is really essential to have. If you make lattes, without the lid, the hot milk forms a "scum" on the top and isn't pleasant when you go to drink the coffee; I found it takes 15-20 min. for that to happen. Using the lid also helps "conserve" bettery power; doesn't have to work as hard to keep the drink hot.
