If you love your Ember mug, which I have for 2.5 years now - this lid is an absolute must. The battery doesn’t hold charge for my leisurely weekend morning coffee drinking unless I kept it on the charger which is impossible lounging on my couch or taking it from room to room while I pick up the house. However; the charge lasts forever with the lid! I am shocked at how much my coffee experience has improved. I refuse to drink coffee in another mug despite having the cutest mugs from all of my travels. I have been able to drink coffee in the car without the lid causing spillage and I even take it with me traveling in our travel trailer. It also makes me feel safer drinking near my young child as I won’t spill 140 degree coffee on her. This lid is a cheap addition to enhance your perfect temp coffee experience!

I recently received the sliding lid for my ember coffee cup. First I love the coffee cup and I also like the sliding lid. I think it does keep my coffee hot a little longer. I also like it because I often make my coffee and head upstairs and if the sliding lid is on i won’t spill it especially since I usually have a couple things in my hands. I also like the different color sliders

The lid does help with the heat retention and the mug lasts a little longer between charges. However the lid does leak a little. The seal around the lid could be better.

I bought this lid thinking that I would use it all the time. But drinking from the mug with the lid isn’t that practical. The lid on the travel mug is much more useful because it is open all around. Now I only use this lid when I will not be using the charge pad. The lid definitely helps extend battery life.

Cracked on second use, disappointed

Just got this lid. I like that it should keep my mugs contents more secure, and the right temp for longer. But on the second use, a crack appeared where the air hole is located. It grew as I finished my tea. I am so disappointed, because I liked it on my first cup of tea. Hopefully, I just got a bad lid, and can get it replaced.
