Alen BreatheSmart 45i is everything it is said to be. I breathe easier and I don't use nasal spray anymore. I sleep better and feel better. I wish I had bought it sooner.

As someone with chronic year-round allergies, a great air purifier is a must have.
Alen delivers a quality product in the 45i. Easy to operate and maintain, low cost of ownership with their quality filters and top-notch customer care.
If you’ve had HEPA machines from other companies, you know how loud some purifiers can get. Alen provides a machine that’s much quieter than other manufacturers. I leave mine in the bedroom on the Auto setting, so the speed fan adjusts automatically. Even if the machine is running on high, it does not disturb my sleep.
And the best part, it truly delivers noticeably cleaner air!

Very pleased with this air cleaner

I purchased this unit based on reviews from Consumer Reports and am very happy with the performance, so far. I've only had it for two weeks but have noticed a marked improvement of the air quality in the house. We live in a home that uses a wood burning furnace for heat and have a cat and dog as well, so there's quite a bit of dust floating in the air. The pre filter does a great job of catching the larger particulate and is very easy to clean using the vacuum cleaner. The unit is quiet, even when running on high speed, and for the most part we aren't aware of it running. It was extremely easy to set up and use, with clear instructions and labeling. The design is attractive and should fit in reasonably well with most home decor. The only question left is durability and I'll just have to wait for the answer to that. ;) I'd recommend this air cleaner to friends and family.

Not for a ventless fireplace

While the unit refreshes the air, especially cooking odors, the unit does not remove the odors from our ventless, propane gas fireplace (our primary reason for making the purchase). The unit does not respond to the odors emitted by the fireplace (the indicator lights do NOT change from the blue signal).

Easy to setup and there is no need to wash it as other air purifiers. Design fits well in the room. Quiet. Fresh air in the room with the unit running. Good investment for a long run.
