Just unplug it

Imagine a beautiful day, when you want to open the windows and turn the 45i off: so you press the on/off button once, but that only turns off the lights, but the unit stays on; did you read the directions?
Now there is a second button which only turns the lights on/off but it has three settings, none of which turn the power off.
So, when you realize the 45i is still on, you naturally press on/off again, and maybe twice to make sure that it goes off, but the lights turning off does not mean the unit is off, and you don’t have time to search for the manual, so you just unplug it.
Alen needs to learn the old VCR’s blinking 12:00 lesson, that simple controls are better.
Otherwise, I love it!

We have three BreatheSmart 45i

We have three BreatheSmart 45i units in our home, one on each floor. We've been pleased with their performance and they have made a noticeable difference with one of our household member's allergies. The only downside of these units is that they are only quiet on the lowest setting. Once they detect air quality levels that need work, they can be quite noisy, so much so that we have to turn off the auto setting to be able to watch tv or sleep.

The 45i works excellently. It is quiet even on the high settings. The air in my home is much better than before.
The 45i was received in about two days, just in time for the unfortunate wildfires New Mexico is experiencing.

My little dog has very bad allergies and she wheezes a lot. Since I started using the Alen Air Purifer her wheezing is reduced substantially.
It’s awesome how it adjust based on the Pollutants in the air.

I use mine for in our living room. I can’t say enough on how much better I breathe. I love the way you can put it on auto and it determines when the air needs cleaning. I want to buy another one to put in our bedroom and put the smaller Alen T500 in the gust room.

It is awesome. When my wood stove dispersed some smoke the air purifier cleaned the air fully. We could breathe better and no more smoke.
