We are very pleased with our Alen Air Purifier, super easy to use, set up and we are happy with the appearance in our home. With the colored light you can see it and know when its working. This may be a Christmas idea for the kids!

Excellent purchase

These are fantastic products. They are so much quieter than other brands I've purchased and have better filters. I wish I had found these before I bought my other cheaper ones. Excellent features, and I love that the carbon filter is velcroed to the HEPA filter... so much easier for vacuuming.

Excellent! Such an improvement in the air inside of our house. Our baby use to sneeze a few times a day and now it is a very rare occurrence. Before - When the sun comes in to the room we would see lots of particles in the air and now it is so clear. We are very happy with this product and hope to have it in used for a long time.

For a smaller bedroom space the 45 is primarily blue. For the larger space (700 sq ft) it is rarely blue (mostly yellowish) and working constantly at higher levels when set on auto. Even on higher speeds it is still relatively quiet, similar to a box fan on low.

A Very Worthwhile Product!

We have had the 45i in-use for a month and it works very well. The air quality is constantly changing here in Central California, and has been into the mid 200's AQI at times. We also have pets and the dander is much lower now. Hair and dust are trapped in the pre-filter which we have vacuum off twice now. (order a pak of pre-filters as they will likely become dirty after repeated cleaning for a few months).
The design and build quality are both very good and the unit is fairly quite considering its size. We typically run it on the 3rd level but turn it down to 2 when watching TV, and leave it on 4 if we are out of the house. The 5 color air quality sensor is nice, giving you a relative sense of the air quality. When the door has been open or we have been cooking, the unit will indicate the change and typically recover over the next hour, depending on the outside air or what you are cooking. The fit of the HEPA filter in the unit is nice and tight and the pre-filter velco's on completely. Air is pulled in on both sides of the unit, goes through the filter and exits out the top.
We have the unit in our familyroom, close to the kitchen and dining room. The coverage seems to be fine for this area, although we will be putting a smaller unit in, or just outside our bedroom at some point soon. Hard to find one now! I would recommend this product without hesitation. Also, buy the higher quality HEPA filter if you have pets or live in an agra-area with often dirty air.

Surprise for a first timer

After too much reading, I finally took the plunge on an ALEN True HEPA 45i. It looks great, which is a bonus, because it also performs great. I was surprised to see how the air quality indicator light changed color as the unit ran. It's amazing. On the low setting, the unit is very quiet, then, when something upsets the air (like kids jumping on dusty furniture) it automatically revs up and goes to work until the air is clear again. I never knew how much dust and odor I used to live with until now... now it's gone!

Terrible dog smell gone!

Within a day of turning this on, the smell of my wife's untidy dog was mostly neutralized. This was the main reason buying the air purifier so I have to say I am satisfied.
I also like that it takes up so little space and is quiet. Very happy I sprung for a quality, made in USA purifier.
