Auto mode seems to be incorrect.

I own a 45i and Classic. in Auto mode, the Classic usually runs at the 3rd fan level, while the 45i seems to usually run at the 1st fan level, even when they are in the same room, right next to each other.
So now, I am wondering which Auto mode is accurate?

More expensive but definitely worth it!

This is my second Alen BreatheSmart Air Purifier. My first one has totally eliminated the funky basement smell in my downstairs family room. I tried a few smaller, less expensive air purifiers for a small upstairs bedroom but nothing worked. So I just bought another one and as expected the old room smell is gone in there now also.
So worth it!

High quality and value

Beautifully designed and well engineered with very intuitive controls and indicators. The Auto mode works perfectly to adjust the fan speed to meet the level of air cleaning needed. Quiet enough to place in the bedroom. I really like the changing light color that visibly indicates air quality. The machine feels substantial and well built. I think it’s an excellent value.

Perfect for Allergy Relief

Having a dog who sheds like it’s her full time job and a boyfriend with allergies is a struggle, but this air purifier has helped tremendously. He no longer has to stay on a constant dose of Benadryl while he’s here and my seasonal allergies are lessened as well. It is very slim and fits into any space.

Easy and powerful

Once remove all the plastic wraps, it is ready to use. (A small piece of grey coating on the interior fell off when removing the tapes...) The touch buttons are sensitive and easy to operate, except that the flow rate switch is a little counterintuitive... My nose can really tell the difference after that cyan indicator light comes on. Low flow rate is almost silent, no bothering sleep at all.
However, on Auto, it is not clear why air becomes dirty again as the light turns green or yellow. A/C, fabrics from clothes, walking-by, etc. It doesn't help to sort out what is polluting the air.
Ionizer. The manual only states that it attracts more dirts, but it doesn't say how much or whether it is recommended to be always on or whether it affects the lifespan of filter unit. Since it is not used long enough, I hope the pre-filter won't be difficult to clean.
Overall it is a decent air purifier and I am happy about my choice.
