I would recommend purchasing this unit. We would like to buy an additional unit so we don’t need to transport this one back and forth between our bedroom and living area. It’s made a noticeable difference in air quality, as well as pet and food odors.

So far the BreatheSmart 45i has been working great. The auto feature is particularly helpful and it's been interesting to see what sorts of things cause it to kick into a higher cleaning speed. I'm pleased with the decision to purchase one.

I was first sold on Alen air while living in Malaysia for 4 years. The constant haze and pollution was starting to take a toll on me and my family's health. Soon after purchasing our Alen Air breathe smart units, I could tell a HUGE difference in the air quality and we all slept great and had no more coughs or infections. We just received our 3 breathsmart 45i units now that we are back in the US and they have been great. Fresh clean air really makes a difference in how I feel. I'm SO thankful to have found Alen Air. I'm a customer for life!

Thoroughly Impressed

Our three year old has asthma, so we wanted to take steps to improve indoor air quality. After some research, decided to pull the trigger on three of these for the house. The quality is great, and the warranty provides peace of mind. I honestly thought the air quality indicator would likely be just a marketing gimmik, but it really does work. If there is a change in the environment it reacts quickly and changes accordingly. It seems to be quite sensitive. My wife was using spray cleaners in the kitchen and the two units on that floor turned red. They've reacted to cooking smells/smoke, kids playing around them, dusting, etc.
If I had a couple suggestions to make... 1) Allow the lock to be turned on while the panel lights are off. 2) Add WiFi capabilities with ability to build a schedule for run times and speeds. 3)Remote control would be nice if WiFi not possible, and didn't add significant cost

An Immediate and Remarkable Difference

I purchased the Alen BreatheSmart 45i air purifier. I dreaded the Chicago-land winters. Over the past two winters my nose was constantly running and I was coughing, sneezing, and constantly clearing my throat when sitting in my family room. This air purifier made an immediate difference. I was able to put the tissue box away and I stopped coughing, sneezing, and clearing my throat. This air purifier is sleek and techie looking, something that was very important to me, and it was easy to set up.
