Today I saw the air purifier in action. The light went from green to red after I cooked breakfast. The purifier is 25 feet from the stove and the vent was on! I put the turbo fan on, and it was back to green in about an hour.

This unit is perfect fror my needs. I recommend consulting with the folks at Alen to get their advice about which machine to buy for your space. They recommended one of their more affordable models, which seems to be working quite well so far after about 2 weeks. The machine is nice looking (bought the brushed metal look) and when on AUTO generally it operates quietly. Only the first couple of hours when the machine was cleaning the air for the first time, it stays on HIgh. a highly recommended purchase...and the company is great to work with. Fantastic shipping and packaging too.

We have been using our purifier for about a week. Matt has been very good about responding to my emails and questions . He advised me that I should not use the ionizer feature because of our lovebird. I’m still a bit concerned about using non-stick cookware even with the VAC filter, as that can emit fumes that affect birds. I have written Matt to find out if there is any research on this issue. We like the looks of our 45i. It is always on auto and we think that our gas fireplace might have some affect on the air quality as it seems to go down somewhat when the fireplace is on. It is very quiet at the lowest speed, at which it normally runs, but when the quality goes down, and the speed goes up, it is a bit louder for a brief time until the air quality improves. That is not a problem, but it is interesting to see how it changes depending on the air quality. We had not intended to spend quite this much for an air purifier, but the warranty and infrequent filter changes are a plus. I have not yet noticed a difference in my allergies, but our lovebird is molting again, so I suspect that is a challenge. We like it much more than our bedroom purifier which is very loud and the filter gets dirty fairly quickly. We mostly leave the light on low to be sure that the ionizer doesn’t get inadvertently turned on.

I’m up to five now

So my wife and son believe I’m truly crazy. I now have three 45i’s and two 75i’s in around 2300 sq ft. All are connected to wifi and I love watching the pm2.5 drop back to zero. The levels used to drop noticeably even with my first two 75’s, but the three 45’s work even better to purify our air. I have fresh filters in the 75’s and smoke filters in the 45’s. I use the ionizer before I vacuum to help collect dust and in the last two months my air quality can only be described as amazing. At 25 watts or less you do not need to feel guilty running these 24/7. The smoke filters are a must if you house lacks an exhaust fan. Buy either or both and you will never know what you did before Alen.

I never heard about Alen before I went on my trip to Maui Four Seasons in Dec 2020 and when I walked in my room there was a Alen i45. I called down to the front desk and was told the entire hotel has it in the entire hotel.
After 2 weeks I couldn't be more happy, very quiet, cleans the air every 30 mins. Best of all living in California I was having throat issues and after 2 days my issues were gone.
When I got home I told my sister about them and I bought (2) i75 and (1) more AMAZING

Alen the best

Set up very easy, This is my second Alen Air Purifier, I moved to a larger home and needed another one so I did not have to move all of the time. The first one still works great and cleans and purifies the air.
I would highly recommend.

My new Alen air purifier

My new Alen air purifier is great. The wood colored front piece matches the bedroom furniture and therefore it is hardly noticeable. It definite reacts to different air when doors are left open or, say, a candle is burning.
I feel confident that it’s working well to make a healthier environment.
