A great filter for smoke and allergies

Along with seasonal allergies one of our neighbors smokes quite a bit and the smoke would travel over and make me cough quite a bit. I could tell an immediate difference running this filter. This removed much if not all of the smoke from the neighbor as well as made the air feel better inside.

Ever since I added te Alen i45 to my bedroom I wake up with a clearer nose and sinuses. We have 2 dogs and although they are hypoallergenic, they have been increasingly giving me symptoms ever since we got them.
Now, with an Alen i75 downstairs where the dogs are most of the day and an Alen i45 in my bedroom, I have a lot less symptoms. The air just feels cleaner.

Fantastic filter - great for large bedrooms

We have the 75i for downstairs in the living area and we got this tiny one for the bedroom based on the recommendations on the site. For the most part it’s very quiet, except when it’s trying to filter a ton of particles and smoke out of the air. Right now we’re dealing with terrible smoke from the annual Bay Area fires and it’s been running on high by itself non-stop so the fan runs quite loudly. It’s whisper quiet when it’s done doing its job, however.
I mentioned this in my other review, but this filter is a central location and it’s in my line of sight and the sensor light is incredibly bright so it took some getting used to at first—imagine a very bright LED night light that glows off the walls. If that bothers you, you can move it to a location that is less in your line of sight, but I have gotten used to it now. I think Alex makes really great, high quality products and I wake up each morning without a pain in my chest compared to last year when we had bad smoke and no filters.
It’s a really great purchase.

We have two purifiers in our home. I can’t say enough about them. We have forest fire smoke in our valley and these purifiers have been work horses. I highly recommend them. Do your research and you will find these to be well worth the money.

I love this air purifier! My husband smokes (in the garage), and whenever he walks past the purifier (after having a cigarette), the color sensor goes from blue to red within seconds! I love that I can see how good/bad my air quality is, based on the color sensor. This unit is extremely effective, plus it's super easy to set up and operate!

Air purifiers are a now a necessity in California

My Breathesmart 45i arrived in just a couple of days and has been in service 24/7. So far it's very quiet and seems well made. Alen customer service via livechat was excellent.
