Good for dealing with the wildfire smoke in my bedroom

I'm in the western US, and we've had a great deal of smoke in the air this summer from all them fires! To make it worse, the smoke seeps right through my old apartment's single-pane windows, and I would consistently wake up with a sore throat and a headache from breathing it in all night. Once I got this air purifier, that went away. It does a good job keeping my bedroom smoke-free at night, and the noise is even & gentle enough that it doesn't keep me up.

Easy to set up and operate

My Alen 45i was really easy to set up - it even came out of the shipping box easily! Once unwrapped, it started right up when plugged in. The controls are straightforward and easy to understand. And online 'chat' support is great, answered all my questions, and I did not have to wait on hold for more than a minute. I got this for wildfire smoke, and the auto setting adjusts itself (and correlates with the air quality outside). I've just had the unit for a month, but so far, so good.

Already owned a previous model. Decided to purchase a second. The new model is nice and quiet and like the control features. Just enough white noise to sleep. Arrived in a timely manner.

Sleek and Effective

I live in an old craftsman home, and while it breathes well, there are lots of opportunities for fresh air and smoky air to enter the house. I plugged my 45i in and the air quality indicator remained red or even purple for days. Of course I didn't have the filtration on high. The fires in Northern California are affecting air quality in the Bay Area too. One night I took a different tack, and as noisy as the unit is on high speed, I turned the speed on high and the next morning it turned green! My cough and runny nose are gone.
The product works, the design is sleek looking. The key for me is that if I want to clean up the air in the house and don't want to be bothered by the sound and cold air it produces, I just need to leave the filtration on high over night.

Easy to setup. Second Alen

Easy to setup. Second Alen I have invested in for use in the upstairs bedroom. Having toxic air in Sep 2020 is not something I want to go through again without having an air purifier. Forest fires just happen and having clean air was never so important. First Alen is downstairs in the living room area. (Forest fires do delay shipment if the air is toxic enough)

Variable speed is awesome.

My favorite features are the automatic speed and the color changing wheel to indicate particulate level. Every time the door opens, the indicator turns red and the fan speed increases, so I know it is taking a lot out of the air.
