This is our second Alen Breathesmart 45i. Great air purifier, it has reduced our allergies and makes breathing in the house easier. Strongly recommend this product.
I am very pleased with the Alen Breathesmart 45i air purifier. The controls are easy to use and it was very helpful during the wildfire smoke. The unit is very unobtrusive and looks nice--a sleek modern appearance. I have it in my bedroom and it is quiet at the lower speeds.
I have an Alen BreatheSmart 75i and will be buying the Alen BreatheSmart 45i for my upstairs. These are so much better than Blue Air, Conway, and Winix models. I even like it better than my expensive Honeywell purifier. The Alen is super quiet. I mean so quiet I have to make sure it's turned on because I can barely hear the fan noise. And the filters last twice as long. So even though these units are more expensive, in the long run you WILL save money. Also Alen ships their replacement filters in a vacuum sealed bag, which means the Activated carbon pellets aren't absorbing air pollutants while sitting in a warehouse or on a delivery truck. Unlike Blue Air, their Carbon filters are shipped in plastic bags with air holes! Which means their absorbing air pollutants and losing their longevity before they arrive at my house! Very frustrating.
It looks good in my bedroom, quiet not a loud machine a week after I run it I notice I been sleeping really good I think because I’m probably breathing better. I have environmental allergies I have the 75i in my living room which it really help with the smell of cooking most of the dinner and dog etc. love love try it.
I got the BreatheSmart 45i air purifier with the smoke filter when my baby was 12 months old and air quality started to get pretty bad due to wild fires. The sensor didn't turn better than yellow (alternated between purple, red, and yellow) for a few days until outside air got better (then it turned green and eventually blue). I had peace-of-mind knowing the purifier was running and constantly filtering the air. I like that it's lightweight so I could easily move it from room to room depending on where we were spending most of our time, and then I would leave it in my baby's room overnight. Now that air quality is much better outside, I just leave it in my baby's room and have it running all the time. It's nice to know her room is in the "blue" level. Added bonus that this filters out COVID, but we don't let people into our house anyway while there's a pandemic.
