Quiet and effective

Almost immediately noticed a difference in the reduction of dust and lack of odors. Actually, a little sad around Thanksgiving that we couldn’t smell all the great holiday hints of turkey and apple pie cooking. But, just highlighted how effective this unit was. And, the whole time, we barely noticed it was even running. Very happy with our purchase!
I purchased the I45. Was much quieter than I expected. Arrived on time. Works like a charm. Never thought it would help as much with indoor allergies. Excellent unit!
I am fairly new to the air purifier game but am a veteran smart home owner.
The first thing I'll say is that my 2 Alen air purifiers look great. I have a T500 in the bedroom and the 45i in our great room. The 45i in particular could easily fit into any modern space, though it is a bit large.
The features on the purifier are great. It runs silently and clears the air.
My only gripe is that we run the 45i on auto. So it's running 24/7 and while I trust it's doing a good job, not really understanding exactly why it kicks into high mode is a bit frustrating.
I have an air monitor sicking fairly close and even with pm2.5 @ 1-2 the Alen sometimes goes up.
Anyways, we love it so fair and look forward to expanding our footprint if all goes well.
These air “purifiers” give off a strong, chemical smell that can make you ill. After 15 minutes of use I had significant sinus congestion, head pressure, and a severe headache. Alen Corp. is aware that there is a problem with the air filters, yet still sells these defective units.
Three cats, lots of cat hair, one Alen BreatheSmart 45i Air Purifer equals great air quality. BreatheSmart cleans the air very quietly. AND it is guaranteed for life.
I am a lung transplant recipient in CA, and anytime there's a major fire that affects the air quality I can't leave the house. The recent Camp Fire made it so that I have to wear a mask at home, even when I'm sleeping. I finally decided to invest in some serious air purifiers and bought the set of two, one for my living room and one for my bedroom. It makes an amazing difference! I can finally breath at home! Everything was easy to set up. The 45i in my living room is super intuitive; it has a sensor to let me know how high I should turn it and an auto setting that allows the machine to power down when it's cleared the air. Neither machine is very loud, about as loud as a fan on its highest setting. Easy to setup, easy to use, and easy to move. I'm honestly recommending this to all my friends because it makes such a huge difference in my ability to breathe.
I’m very happy with my purchase. I spent a lot of time looking at reviews and Consumer Reports, but it was primarily individuals’ reviews that led me to Alen. I purchased mine primarily because of allergies and waking up congested, so this one is in my bedroom. The noise level on low is very very quiet, mid ranges not bad, and even at top level its not an annoying noise, just like having a fan on. The control/info panel is well done- i like being able to see at glance what’s going on and the ability to turn off the lights on the panel with a touch is helpful (and may need to be more clearly stated seeing as how some reviewers complained about the lights at night) A week after buying mine, I shipped one with an upgraded filter to my daughter who lives in S.California and is dealing with the wildfires there. She was very excited and admitted to shoving her face in the outflow to breathe in the clean air. (yeah its kinda sad out there right now). So we are both big fans of the product. I’m even contemplating getting another for our main room.
