I'm very pleased with my Alen 45i purchase, I did a lot of research prior to my purchase read a lot of horror stories about motor noice and strong odors on initial startup. I can you as an Alen 45i owner that I have had none of these issues. I set it to automatic mode and don't even no its there, its very quiet. The system is truly a set it and forget it the only time you need to pay attention is when it lets you know its time for a filter change. My wife was diagnosed with COPD and the Alen 45i has helped not only with breathing clean air but with her coughing spells. The system works great sorry I waited so long to decide to make the purchase.

If one is good, two are better!

After using the FIT50 air purifier in our living room due to a month of smoke from West Coast forest fires we added a second (slightly smaller unit) for the upstairs bedroom. Works well - quiet, keeps us in the "blue", and can turn the unit's lights off for sleep. My wife has stopped the sneezing fits when we go upstairs at night. Great to have two purifiers running full time and not have to carry one upstairs/downstairs each day!

This is an excellent air purifier, from the sleek look, to the quiet running. I love the Auto button, which adjusts the speed according to the air quality in the room. Changing filters is a snap, with no exposed surface that cats will think is a new scratching post. All in all a great purchase.

Smoke seems to be a regular late summer/autumn event in Sonoma. Sadly. Allen Air Purifiers have saved us once again. I love the new features on the 45i. The ability to turn off the lights for nighttime is a great addition. Fantastic product. We own two. Would buy again.
