Did not know what i was expecting to get out of a purifier initially when i had bought it. When i first started to use it, seemed like it was not working, however in a week we noticed a dramatic difference in the environment. We had less cases of sneezing and allergens, anyone with a house hold animal, mainly dog or cat i would highly encouraging purchasing this device. Helped keep the room clean and air fresh!

Better Than Expected!

Great purchase experience. The box showed up and you could tell the quality was high just upon unpacking the unit from the well engineered packaging. Very easy to set-up and start working. We purchased to clean the air and to hopefully deal with the "dog" odor our Lab has saturated the house with. It took only a day to neutralize that odor. You wouldn't know a dog and cat lived in our house now! The "auto" setting works best for us. And we love the colored process ring showing how how hard (or not) the unit is working. Frying fish in the cast iron skillet definitely brings on the RED ring! But it's blue again in only an hour or so. Planning on buying a smaller unit for the bedroom soon. Highly recommended. Very happy so far.

So far we are very happy with the Alden BreatheSmart 45i air purifier we purchased. It’s been happily purifying the air in our bedroom and makes the perfect amount of noise to provide a white noise background for sleeping. We have been impressed with the air quality detection system.

Sleeping safe and breathing better.

I bought the 45i over some of the other models due to its energy efficiency rating. We have a master bedroom that is fairly large with a master bath attached and two small dogs. The panel lights on the top may bother some at night if you need it dark but are easy to turn off. We run ours on auto. The first couple of nights it would turn to a higher fan mode as it sensed the air and my wife felt it was noisy for her even though it has a pink noise sound. After 3 days out unit is in auto still and is quiet as can be. You do have the option to turn it to manual modes if you choose. In the directions it does state that it could take several weeks to fully to reach a status point. SInce moving to Texas my alegeries have been full blown. Feel that the unit may be helping but only time will tell. So far very pleased with the unit and would recommend it. after 6 months to a year, we will consider more for other rooms in the house. we also have an i75 for our large living area and love it.
