Needs better instructions

Great filter.. but I got it.. the manual has no setup instructions... nothing on the box... so I plugged it in and run it.. first thing I noticed is a Wifi symbol on the display and the fan wobbling.... some reviews below said their wobbled and sent it back. After running it for a day and rather weak performance, turns out you have to open the front and remove the plastic the filter is wrapped in...so no air made it through the filter and that caused it to wobble. I suggest you put that information somewhere, anywhere. How is one supposed to know that the filter is installed but with plastic wrapped around. Still no idea what the wifi symbol means on the display?

A little frustrated...

We just purchased the Alen BreatheSmart 75i yesterday - everything seems to work, though, it is taking an incredibly long amount of time to clean the air. We've had it running on auto for almost 24 hours in our bedroom with the door shut, and it's only gotten to the "orange" air-quality ring. Thus, in my opinion, this device runs loud. Also, I have tried powering off the display lights (which works), but when I try to power back on the display lights on the 2nd press the device turns off (as it should). The problem is that when I try and turn the 75i back on by tapping the "power button" on the display, the device will not turn back on! Twice, I have been forced to take off the front cover, remove the filter, re-insert the filter, and place the front cover back on the device for the power to return. At that point, I am able to press the power button and the device turns back on. If this is by design, it's a major flaw, in my opinion. Otherwise, it's an aesthetically pleasing product, matches well with our furniture, and though loud, emits a pleasant sound - I find it very soothing.

Great product! This is my third attempt at finding a decent air purifier and Alen makes the best air purifier, by far. Great packaging, easy setup, quiet and the control panel tells me everything I want to know. Thanks!!

I recently purchased the BreatheSmart 75i Air Purifier and am extremely happy with it. Not only does it clean the air, but tells me about the air quality It is filtering. In addition, it has a timer, multiple speeds, and a filter indicator. And it is very quiet!

I think it's working

The 75i I have will not hold its last settings after shutdown. I bought a BreatheSmart Classic over 3 years ago and always keep it set to auto. It has worked flawlessly. When I turn on the 75i, the auto is never set and I have to manually set it each time. That's a small glitch, but its annoying. I also have a 45i and auto setting does stay set on with that. My other concern with 75i is that on auto it stays on Blue 99.99% of the time, while the BreatheSmart Classic seems the change when it should. I did call customer support (which is always excellent and very concerned & responsive) and was told it's because of the new technology in the (i) series which is more advanced. So to sum up: I've really liked Alen air purifiers in the past and highly recommended them. But for me the verdict is still out on the new 75i.
