Terribly Disappointed Pet Owner

I have had this unit for 2 years and it simply does not control pet hair and odors (dog and 4 cats). I initially had it in our living room and it did ok. I moved it to the bedroom and when I purchased a smaller unit for the bedroom I moved it to the hallway right next to the litter robot and a covered box which is scooped daily. This filter does not make a dent in the litter box odor, to the point I can smell it at the bottom of my stairs. It’s on turbo 24/7 and the filters are replaced appropriately. I have 2 smaller inexpensive units downstairs (Winix and Levoit) that outperform the Alen by leaps and bounds. The pre-filters on those are covered with pet hair, debris and dust every few days, where there is hardly ever anything on the Allen pre-filter. I don’t know if I just got a bad unit, but I certainly feel it wasn’t worth the price I paid.

Review of the 75i BeatheSmart air purifier

This air purifier has made a major difference in our indoor air quality in our house. Prior to purchasing this unit for an extra-large open living area with 14-foot ceilings, we could see particles floating in the air each morning when the sunlight comes through the upper windows. Within a day or 2 of running the air purifier the air became clear. We keep it on 24 hours a day because of the dramatic effect it has had on the air quality. I should state we live in Southern New Mexico where there are frequent wind and dust storms. Another positive effect is a near resolution of our allergies to the point of not needing a nasal spray every day which I had done for years. I like the automatic setting which adjusts the speed of the fan based on air quality and I like the different color rings indicating the current air quality. All the lights on the unit shut off when it is dark, which is nice. If the filter lasts the predicted 9 months with New Mexico dust storms, I will be happy. Finally, the unit is very quiet on the lowest speed and the unit is attractive in the living room, especially compared to the other air purifiers on the market.

Love these air filters

I have 2 of the B35 air filters and the oldest started squeaking like maybe a bearing in the fan was going out. I decided to get the 75i and give it a try to replace the noisy 35. I moved the old one and left it running as well as I have a big living room. After another couple weeks of squeaking now it runs as quiet as it did new! These are quiet and run fine and usually don't hear unless in the morning when I stir up the dust, they will kick the fan up a bit but still are hardly noticeable. They do a good job, and the 35 filters would last nearly a year.

New home odor nuetralizer!

We bought the 75i HEPA air purifier unit when we moved into our new house. The previous owners had owned the house for 50 years and left us with several odors including residual cigarette smoke, new replacement carpet odors, musty closets and more. We placed the unit all over the house over several days and eliminated all of the odors. It's also been great for my dust allergies.

This is my second 75i. Love my original one that’s in my bedroom. I have had that one for years. Unfortunately this one started making a ticking noise from the fan within 30 days. Alen is sending me a new one this week. They responded immediately after I emailed them a video. Hoping this one works as well as my older one.

Just received my 75i. Amazing! This machine is Sooooo quite. The size may have been over-kill on my part 2,600 Sq ft, I think. My thought was if I buy a larger purifier I can run it at a lower speed for quite. LOL...I bought a T400 about 8 years ago, or so, for my apartment. I've lived in my new house for 3 yrs now and have been needing a air purifier for the 1,400 Sq ft.
That T400 I bought 8 yrs ago still works perfectly. Funny thing is the mega 75i at full speed is more quite than the T400.
Very nice Alen, I love it. The auto button is also very cool.

I've had this unit since November 2021 and I have to tell you, this thing is awesome. Better than any air purifier I've ever owned by a mile, it's not even close. It's whisper quiet 90% of the time. Even when it starts to ramp up when it detects higher particulate count it still sounds more like a heavy breeze than an actual machine. And it's super sensitive. Most of the time I feel like these things can be kind of gimicky but this particular 75i unit is definitely not. I know it's definitely doing it's thing because whenever I cook (we don't have an exhaust hood over our oven) the unit slowly goes from green, to purple, to yellow, (to red if I'm cooking bacon) and after a short while ramps back down to green. Hardwood floors with 2 dogs and 2 kids who are CONSTANTLY running in and out and back in and back out again and this thing keeps us with our family full of allergy sufferers breathing noticably better. We have 3 smaller 45i's in our bedrooms as well and those little brothers are perfect for the bedrooms. My daughter has a parakeet that stays in her room and every 6 months when I get my filter replacement and change out the older filter....... Holy cow, when you see just how much these units/filters take out of the air that you or your loved ones are breathing, it really becomes a no-brainer. Customer for life.
