I hate downdraft vents!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JennAir JDS1750ML is an outstanding range that blends sleek design, precision performance, and practical innovation. The cooking power is exceptional—burners heat evenly, the convection oven delivers perfect results, and the controls are intuitive and responsive. One of the standout features is the integrated downdraft ventilation system. It works quietly and effectively, pulling smoke and cooking odors right off the cooktop without the need for an overhead hood. This is a huge advantage for open kitchens or island installations, keeping the space clean and visually uncluttered.
Build quality is top-notch, with a solid feel and premium materials throughout. The styling is modern yet timeless, fitting beautifully into a high-end kitchen. Overall, the JennAir JDS1750ML is a superb choice for anyone who values performance, design, and the convenience of a built-in downdraft system.
Pros: Attractive Design

Updated Version of Stove is Much Better
on October 21, 2025

Length of ownership:1 month
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced the same type of stove from Jenn Air that was purchased 10 years ago. The newer version is much improved. More stove features; Burners are hotter; Better burner sizes. Electronics were relocated from front facing to top facing. Easier to see the electronics, however make sure to use the lock feature to avoid accidental setting as wiping the surface. Also, the burner knobs have a much better look and feel.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Use, Compact, Quality Construction

Nice Looking Range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've only had the range operational for about a month. The burners cook food quickly and well, but we have had some challenges with the oven. We are not sure if it's user ignorance or issues with the appliance. We've had some problems in estimating how long to cook things compared to our other range. Keeping the range clean is also a challenge compared to our other range. We are trying to get use to the downdraft with a gas cook top, since the downdraft sucks the burner flame to the vent and has some effect on cooking consistency in pans. The stainless steel doesn't clean up completely and it takes quite a bit of effort to have it spotless. Also, to clean the range burner surface requires the lifting out of all the grates, since the grates are interlocking and are quite heavy. We thought the control knobs on the top would be good, and they look good, but practically, they get dirty easily and are harder to clean. It is a learning curve right now, so we are not entirely happy.
Pros: Attractive Design
Cons: Difficult To Clean, Hard To Use

Third Jennair range for our home.
on October 28, 2025

Length of ownership:1 month
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new Jennair purchased a month ago is different than the last two I have owned.
It has more powerful burners and operates quieter than the previous duel fuel range I had.
However I have safety concerns. The knobs activate the gas ignition to easily. Ive turned on the burners just by wiping them to clean the splattered food off. Ive also activated the control panel just by leaning in to reach the back burners to clean or to work with food cooking. Wiping the glass clean can activate the panel. This is very dangerous. I did not like the control panels location when I was shopping for a new stove. It’s flat surface inline with the cooking surface I thought would be a cleaning nightmare. It is and it is also touchy and therefore dangerous. Previous Jennair duel fuel range we owned required the burner knobs be pressed in with some pressure to activate the turn to ignition. The control panel was on the front panel facing forward not upward. It did not react to slight pressure when being wiped down. Moderate Pressure had to be applied to activate features.
Im a senior citizen and now concerned about not noticing that the range has been activated. The notification beeps help but I would prefer they not have to happen.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Use
Cons: Difficult To Clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third Jennair in 28 years. They are fantastic and worth every cent. We love to cook and had one installed in 1998 when we gutted our kitchen. I love cooking with gas. Lasted 12 years then we replaced it with another that lasted 16 years. The quality is amazing. This one has even better features than the first two.
My only wish would be have the timer ding once a minute before times up and ding every 15 seconds when it is done until you turn off like the old one. But I may have to look further into setup.
Pros: Convenient, Attractive Design, Easy To Use, Quality Construction
