Surface not meant for cooking. Hard to maintain

Love our new range!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have used our new gas range for two weeks, and are very pleased with it. We had an older Jennair electric range that had served us well for many years, but we wanted to convert to a gas range. Naturally, Jennair was our choice. We appreciate the down-draft vent, due to our small kitchen, and the solid construction and elegant design makes us realize what a good decision it was to invest in Jennair!

Instructions unclear

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The instructions don't accurately describe the gas nozzles and I'm unsure if they sent me two sets of natural gas nozzles or what. The instructions describe the LP gas nozzles as having a distinguishing notch and paint mark on them, mine did not. The flame simmer adjustment doesn't accurately describe the procedure, either. My flames are decent in the back two burners, they put out twice the heat of the front two that are supposed to be "Turbo" burners. For something with one moving part that costs more than my first vehicle, the instructions should be spot on. The unit is attractive, and the downdraft fan does work well.

I upgraded from my 25 year old Jenn-Air glass top range. I love the quality feel of everything from the solid burner knobs, heavy grates, and the self closing door.
