I am a retired professional Civil Engineer. In Argentina, worked in my Dad’s construction company. I used to drive for pleasure some of the many CAT equipment we had. This set takes me back to those times.

This set is a nice addition to other Technic sets. It is pricey for the piece count, though. The instructions were mediocre at best. Once built, the set is solid and has great play and display value.

I'm currently halfway through the build and have enjoyed it so much I'm actually buying the Liebherr to go with it! I've always been a little put off by Technic because it's so precise and unforgiving but I have really enjoyed this build. Beautiful! So much attention to detail and it looks good if you're up close or far away. I honestly can't wait to finish this build so I can drive it around and play with it! I got it as a gift but would have bought it for myself in a heartbeat had I known how much fun this is to put together. Strongly recommend!

Love large toys, this is a must have.

If you love large toys, I highly recommend this build. It's a Great build project, not only because of the high piece count, but because it's so involved. Great job, and kudos to the engineers on the design. It is so realistic. I also love that you can control this unit from an app. Many hours of family fun in your future. I do however have a small gripe. 1) How can Lego put out an item like this and not include a construction guy with a helmet...... Lol, and 2) why doesn't this unit also include one of those small tools to dismantle the unit . Thanks for the fun times, Lego.

I work at a coal mine primarily as a machinist, but I also operate equipment from time to time. Our mine has two D11T's. This set is extremely accurate to the real thing. Understandably so, there are some discrepancies, but for a buildable kit it could not be any closer. The working ladder is just like the real thing. Our mine also has a Liebherr excavator, we have the set, and it is amazingly accurate also. As far as the value of this set, it is also spot on, almost 4000 pieces, with a blue tooth hub is pretty good for the price. The gentleman who designed this set is also a genius, to be able to have all these workings without the use of hydraulics, is amazing. LEGO has done it again. Keep up the great work, this set is truly a masterpiece!!
