This aint It, Chief. Lenovo Blunder's a Good PC.

Lenovo really dropped the ball on this Laptop. I purchased the 21CK0026US for about
My biggest issue with this machine so far:
1. No USB4. This is a massive blunder by Lenovo and really puts this machine outside of any meaningful comparison for a cutting-edge laptop. USB4 is set to be a huge improvement over USB-C 3.2 Gen 2. If you are looking for a laptop that is future proof, you will need to look elsewhere.
2. No 86Kwh battery. Many people have rightfully cited the deceitfulness by Lenovo here and I am inclined to agree. Selling a product "with up
to an 86Kwh" battery is obviously misleading. The smaller battery is simply not competitive and makes using it on battery less appealing.
3. The fan is louder than expected with coil whine. This probably isn't an issue in the field and will only be noticed in desk or general use. Lack of fan speed controls also is a knock on this device.
4. There is an issue with Windows 11 or Lenovo or drivers. Installing software is unbelievably slow on my machine and I have not figured out why. I don't really blame Lenovo for this one as it's probably software related.
Overall, the USB4 missing from this machine is a true shame because It would have made this a much more enticing option for users.
If those issues don't bother you, then I think this laptop is still compelling (at the price I paid).
The keyboard is best-in-slot and it is a full keyboard.
Charging brick is minimal.
The BIOS is very feature-rich and I love that. I love the Wake-On-AC feature of the BIOS. Only thing better would be to have a side-facing power button, but I don't know any manufacturers doing that.
The cutting-edge CPU/GPU/RAM is great too.
Until they add USB4, I can't seriously recommend this laptop to people over other competitors. I hope they learn.
If you don't need USB4, you might be better off getting an older model if they exist.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Extremely loud fan noise

My last ThinkPad was a T420 and I really liked the machine for the past 10 years. When it comes to replacing that one, I bought the P16s AMD version. The nightmare starts! The fan noise is so loud even at a very low CPU load. The funny thing is that you can not adjust the fan speed. I have tried several methods using third-party software such as Fan Control, and TPFancontrol. No luck. Can you imagine a jet engine running inside this P16S when you are doing some standard office work? My only comment is that Lenovo is a sales company not a computer company, which has ruined the ThinkPad.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With one exception, I really liked this laptop. The weight was good while still being a 16" device for great screen size and resolution and excellent performance with the Ryzen. The build quality was decent to good overall, with a good feel to the keyboard travel and responsiveness. The only gripe was attrocious battery life, especially with AMD in it which was surprising. When we ordered this, it was supposed to come with the 86whr battery unit per the spec sheets, however it only came with a 53whr battery instead. We could only get roughly 2-3 hours at most of life out of the unit, which for a S series in the Lenovo P lineup is unacceptable as those are normally the long lived units in the series. We ended up having to return the unit because of the poor endurance which is unfortunate.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Computer is great! Purchased for our new Accountant and he uses some crazy spreadsheets that can sometimes slow down a computer if it doesn't have enough RAM. This computer definitely can handle the massive spreadsheet and more with no trouble at all. I would highly recommend this computer for accounting purposes as well as a general use work computer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far this laptop has been great. Had a issue with the SSD to start but Lenovo got me a replacement drive out next day and I reinstalled Linux and it has been great. Awesome screen and overall build. I would like to have a SD slot but I can let that go. Very quick and responsive.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great laptop!! Durable & reliable. Very sleek. Would recommend.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Advertised for Large Battery but No

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the highest end model of P16s for remote work and school. Overall, this laptop is amazing, but the highest end model does not come with the highest end battery of 86wh advertised on the website and it certainly would not last for the number of hours as claimed in the specs. Now the 86wh battery is fully removed from the specs on the website. I don't feel this is appropriate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
