Amazing camera and app but disappointing Monitor

The Nanit camera and app are excellent - I think the video quality is crystal clear (day and night), the sound is great, and the app experience is intuitive. Have not really used the breathing monitoring.
But the external monitor is a big letdown. The battery life is poor and doesn’t last nearly long enough, which is frustrating for overnight use. It also feels laggy and far less reliable compared to using the app on a phone or tablet. For a premium product at this price point, the monitor experience doesn’t match the quality of the camera and software.

LOVE this product

I absolutely love the Nanit system. We used it for our first and bought another camera for our second baby. The split screen is a game changer - such a perk that we can watch both babies at once. The breathing band really helped ease our minds and we’ve never had an issue with it. Sometimes the connection between the sound machine and the app can be spotty, but it’s a quick fix. Definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a baby monitor.

Exactly what we needed

I had purchased a comparable video monitor that was a bit cheaper, and had nothing but problems with it from day 1. As a first time mom, I felt I couldn’t depend on my other monitor. I took the leap and purchased the Nanit Pro and I wish I would have done it sooner! I can always rely on it and sleep better at night knowing that I will be able to hear and see my baby when she needs me. Overall I am impressed with the reliability and convenience this monitor offers. I recently traveled for the holiday and was able to bring the camera and flex stand with me. I could rely on it even outside of the comfort of my home. Added bonus: I forgot my baby’s sound machine at home and realized the Nanit Pro has a sound machine white noise feature built in. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this device and it’s my first recommendation for all my friends building their registries for the upcoming year.

tablet had a terrible battery life, so i subtracted 1 star
wish the app would let you filter by activity, and while i know the next nap is in beta-
it would be great if it looked at how long your child slept + age and suggested next nap time from that…
not based off preset info i entered
about morning wake time and night bed time.

As a first time mom I’ve done my research on monitors/cameras and ultimately went with nanit. Great quality and I truly feel a sense of peace choosing nanit.

I love how the stand allows for us to be able to see the entire crib. It is also convenient to be able to see our daughter from our phones and ensure she is breathing through the night.

We have this for our first daughter and just purchased it for our new baby. I love the amount of info it delivers—just enough. Also we haven’t had any false alerts other than one related to different sheets we put in her crib so our fault. We love how reliable this is!
