Expensive camera, known hardware defect, terrible

I bought a Nanit camera and have paid for the subscription for three years. Recently the Wi-Fi/reset button got stuck — which I later learned is a known issue with this model. I contacted Nanit’s support and was told they won’t repair or send a replacement because of warranty rules. Even though this is a recurring manufacturing problem, they refused to help.
I expected better for such an expensive device and ongoing subscription fees. If you value reliable hardware and responsive support, look elsewhere.

I love it, but…

As a first-time mom, I truly love the Nanit. It gives me so much peace of mind and makes me feel closer to my baby even when I’m not in the room. The image quality and features are amazing, and the app is very intuitive once everything is set up.
That said, I did find the installation a bit challenging at first, and occasionally I notice that the camera gets warm. Overall, it’s an excellent product and I would definitely recommend it to other parents. With small improvements in setup and temperature control, it would be absolutely perfect.

Great for Babies

I am in love with my nanit. I love everything in th app that we can do for monitoring. Now that we are in a toddler bed I wish there was a way to flag different instances. For example if she falls out of bed and we put her back in. It is phenomenal for infant and baby settings but hasn't really grown with us in a way that I had hoped.

Camera great memories with plan worthless

The camera is great. Set up was easy and the camera and app work well. The plans are underwhelming. We pay for the memories plan and it simply does not work. It is touted to automatically save images and create a slideshow of milestones. It does not do this. I would not recommend paying for the memories plan and regret doing so.

We went with this after the debacle with the miku system as this one isn’t set up in a way where the value and usability can be absolutely tanked with an update. So far love the app and the functionality of it. Image quality is great. Think that this will be the way going forward for us.

Love the nanit camera

We just purchased a second camera for our second baby. We have one in our toddler's room and are currently using the travel set for our newborn in her bassinet. I love all of the features the camera + app offer. We bring it traveling with us! I am interested in getting the new monitor - but this has been one of our top baby products.

I did not start out using this system for a baby. My kiddo is 2 and a half. So my experience differs a little but I still say I love this system. The monitor lets me easily check on her with one eye in the middle of the night to reassure myself she is still fine. With it being cold/flu season, we’ve actually had all of it run through our house, I can check the temp of her room and humidity quickly as well. And oh the night light on the camera. What a blessing to have that while she’s upset and crying so I can see in a gentle light what’s going on. I do really love this whole system. We’ve only had it for a few months and I am still impressed.
The only thing I would say that is a down side is I cannot zoom the camera. To be fair, I haven’t pushed all the buttons yet. I still give this a 10/10 recommend.
