I love this product! It

I love this product! It is my favorite thing I received for my baby and I consider it a must have. We got another one for our second child as well. I live on a dairy farm and feel secure milking in the early morning as we are only steps from the house. The nanit app allows us to watch both our children on split screen so we can go inside the minute they need us. I love that our nanny can have access in the house without having to remember to turn her access on and off- same with anyone watching our kids. I could not love this product more! If you are on the fence about what monitor to purchase. . . buy this one, you won't regret it. It is worth it's weight in gold.

I love that I can check in on the little one even when I’m at work. It’s made it a lot easier to leave the room he’s sleeping in and be able to get stuff done around the house (mainly just sleep tho. )

We generally really like the Nanit. We got it when our baby was 1 year old after using a different monitor for the first year because we wanted one that would alert us when she woke up in the morning, or needed us in the night, but not let us hear every little sound she was making. The Nanit is generally good at this but the notifications aren't as configurable as the Nanit site would lead you to believe and we have had to set up a few different custom automations to make it work the way we want. Overall, it is an improvement now that we have an older baby and it can warn us if she is standing in her crib, but it still has a lot of room for improvement in configuring and customizing the notifications.

We finally moved our 5 month old baby to his own room because NO ONE was getting sleep and I was breaking. I had planned to have him sleep in our room until 1 year, but it just wasn’t working. My husband got Nanit to make the transition bearable for me. The first night in his own room, our baby slept soundly for 8 hours! I couldn’t believe it! While he slept through the night for the first time ever, I watched him on my Nanit phone app throughout the night with tears in my eyes. He baby didn’t need me right beside him all night after all! Haha! We are all finally getting sleep again. What a dream! Literally! :)

Missing Key Functionality

We really love the camera but the wish the caregiver team could have access to add in activities such as feedings, diaper changes, medications, etc. This feature is only available with full access which we are not comfortable giving to our babysitters. Otherwise the camera is great.

Functional to an extent

I got the Nanit to have at home and travel with but didn’t realize I need a hotspot to work at every hotel. The zoom quality is no good and rewinding the footage takes a long time.
It’s a good standard camera but I wouldn’t have bought this if I knew how limited in use it would be.
I will say it’s a nice sleek design, portable physically and nice to look at when I’m at work and baby is with caretaker during the day.

Too high tech & buggy for us.

I purchased the Nanit after a friend highly recommended it, and I can see why many parents love it—it has some great features and a sleek setup. For us, though, it just wasn’t the right fit.
We found the monitor connection through the browser to be unreliable—it often froze or lagged, which made it difficult to use consistently. The notifications also felt overly sensitive, alerting us to even the smallest movements near the crib. Additionally, since the system relies on phones or laptops as the viewing device, it didn’t work well for us as we prefer to put our phones away during downtime.
One thing we did really like was the stand—it provided a great, clear view of the crib and felt thoughtfully designed.
In the end, we decided to return the Nanit and go with a more basic monitor that better fits our needs.
