Good, but needs better battery

Hardware and app alike are clunky and leave much to be desired:
- Required firmware updates take the camera offline for a period of time (consider some more memory, maybe)
- Cry / sound detection not consistent (time for some updated ML models)
- Frequent errors recalling videos (i. e. video unavailable)
- App sometimes rotated upside down on my iPad
- App is not user friendly, especially if you have more than one Nanit in your house
- Pricey for overall lackluster performance

Nanit Home System

I already have a Nanit but I bought a Nanit home and secondary carmera. We’ve been using it as a nanny and secondary camera for our toddler when she is in another room. The Nanit home has been a nice edition to our system. I really like that it’s portable; however I think there can be some enhancements to the home system to maximize its utility.

This is our 3rd baby and we splurged on this monitor. It’s worth every penny! My baby was in the NICU with breathing concerns the first week. The Nannit is so reassuring I just put the band on for all her naps and am worry free. 10/10 recommend!

Works great - super expensive

I love the Nanit. I was disappointed when I bought a second camera and learned I had to pay for an additional subscription to that one. It should be a subscription per family! Warning - this is very expensive!

Total Game Changer

We’re expecting baby #2 and preordered the monitor when we ordered our second Nanit camera on sale. We’ve used our original camera every day for the last two years and we’ve loved it, but the monitor is a total game changer! Not only does it make sleep easier and more comfortable for me (I don’t have to leave my phone on next to my bed all night), but it’s been so helpful with grandparents when they are babysitting. Previously, our less than tech savvy parents would need help resetting their password and logging into the Nanit app every time they were covering nap or bedtime. Being able to hand them the monitor is a huge time saver and gives me peace of mind. The video quality is great and the large screen size gives me reassurance with just a quick glance. I also find the monitor doesn’t seem to pick up as much background noise. We keep a fan on in our son’s room and keeping my phone volume on high always sounded very scratchy and bothersome, but the monitor barely makes a sound in comparison. We can still very clearly hear our son.
I also appreciate the freedom to use my phone without having to worry about keeping the volume at optimal levels to hear or keeping the video up in front of every window. I cannot recommend enough for Nanit parents. 100% worth it. We’re excited to continue using with 2 cameras once baby is here!

Love the camera and how it connects to my phone. The 8” display cuts in and out even after being updated. It’s not bad, just eh
