A very convenient baby monitor and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With my first child, I chose to use a baby monitor that did not connect with WiFi and instead had a separate monitor (no app). However, I received this baby monitor from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and am surprised at how much I have liked using it with my second child!
The floor stand and camera are both very easy to set up, and the app is also very easy to install and use. The picture from the camera is clear, and it's very convenient to open the app on my phone. As a mother of two young children, the feature that I appreciated the most was that I'm able to see via the app what time the baby fell asleep and woke up...very convenient when you are juggling a lot of different things at once!
We have been using this baby monitor for several weeks now, and I have no complaints so far. The only recommendation I would have is that it would be great if there was an option to have a separate monitor (not an app on the phone) that could be used occasionally. For example, it'd be great to have a monitor for when we have a babysitter.

Nanit pro is the way to go

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this baby camera. The set up was easy to do. It works with WiFi. Once I connected my phone to it I was able to see my baby so clearly it felt like watching a movie. You can set it up to get notifications on baby moving which is helpful if you set it up anywhere in a hotel room or on vacation. I’m not completely computer savvy and for me the set up was not problematic at all! I didn’t even need my husbands support to do it. A wonderful feature about this camera is that you can take it places with you. On vacation we did need someone to come help us set it up because the WiFi feature is secure so nobody can break into it but that made me feel better about it too! My girlfriend and I sat right outside the hotel room and had a wonderful breakfast with baby inside the dark room but I could see him move, hear his every move and be able to jump in if I ever needed to which made my time there so it was more relaxing! I even set it up with our pack and play on vacation and it worked great.
I didn’t end up using the breathing device as much as I thought I would. My baby is old enough to cry and tell us know if he needs something so it became more of an after thought to put it on and use it but I like that it’s there for parents with newborn babies!
The insights data helped know how long baby was sleeping for each day, and what adjustments I needed to make with his sleep or nap schedule. I love having that option there even though I don’t use it daily. My husband actually ended up looking at the daily insights more than I did. It helped him with our baby’s routine and sleep schedule too.
The floor stand feature is good because you’re able to move it around the room but the only problem with it is my toddler can now move around and would attempt to knock it down a few times. Initially I wished it was a wall attachment camera but now I’ve positioned it in the back to where he can no longer reach for it so we are in the clear for that!
I think if I had to point to a flaw the floor stand would be the only one. It took some time to figure out where we could put it best so it is not being knocked down. I have to say though it is not an eye sore in the room and looks very sleek and nice. Overall this camera wins my vote and I highly recommend it to all my friends!!!

Awesome video monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, there are so many monitor products on the market, it can be overwhelming and very different to choose just one. It's hard to know exactly which features you want or need and which you won't find as useful. The Nanit actually delivers exactly what I want and need for my baby.
It was extremely easy to assemble (just snap everything together), and the app download was a breeze. I had it set up and functional in about 20 mins. I like the base because I don't need to find a way to mount the camera to my wall - that's a huge plus for me.
I love that the app alerts me when he makes noise or moves around and that I can talk through the speaker by just pressing the microphone button. I can take snapshots for memories of my sweet boy sleeping and turn on a nightlight with a simple tap. My favorite is the night summary which shows little clips of each time my baby was taken out of bed or helped be put back to sleep and also gives a little overview of how long he was asleep and the quality it thinks he received. I wish the additional analytics weren't a paid feature, but I understand that at the end of the day, it's still a business.
There are a lot of nice features that were well thought through. I definitely recommend evaluating this product!

High quality home baby monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby monitor.
This is an excellent product. It is wrapped beautifully and as you open the box, you can tell they put thought and care into this product - this is not just a cheap knick-knack. The instructions are very easy to follow for setup. I got it up and running within 10 minutes.
It is very fancy looking and I did not expect this from a baby monitor. It looks very high grade and not something that will fall apart easily. It looks like it’s made to last.
After setting up the product, I downloaded the app and made a profile and then was able to easily share it with my wife so we both have access to the monitor.
The sound receiver is very responsive and sends notifications to our phones when our baby wakes up and starts crying. The system is very intuitive where it catches when he wakes up or if he is able to stir himself back to sleep. It also includes a temperature gauge and humidity gauge over the crib if you want to get precise measurements for the times you may be worried if it is too hot or cold. Again, this isn’t anything I would seek in a baby monitor but definitely useful and cool perks. The camera is easy to access and the video quality is incredible. It has almost no lag between recorded time and real time.
This is a high quality piece of equipment and I would highly recommend it. The date it gathers is very advanced. After a nights rest, it is able to calculate how long your baby slept and if he had any wake-ups. Again, there are a lot of cool features that you simply do not see with other baby monitors. I can’t say one bad thing about it. There is nothing here that I would change or want to improve. The design is sleek and beautiful, the setup is easy, and the app is very user friendly. HIGHLY recommended!

Love the extra peace of mind

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor was so great, the floor stand was easy to assemble and adjust as well as super stable! My little stood up and shook it and it did not fall once! I love the breathing band, I’m able to tell if they’re close to waking or just moving. I love knowing that my tiny babies are still breathing. Insights data was great, so nice to go back and see when the child woke up and fell asleep. I wish you didn’t have to upgrade for more than a 2day history. I do think there should be a family plan or something with insights, we’re heading to our third baby and have to pick and choose who’s worth paying the extra money to have history and insight! This monitor was provided as part of stellar product testing panel.

Best baby monitor on the market with one catch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Nanit Pro with my 7 month old daughter for the past 2 weeks. Previously, we had used a traditional radio monitor or no monitor at all (we live in a small condo, so you can hear loud noises from any part of our home). When my daughter moved into her own room at 6.5 months, I was nervous for her to be alone. For this reason, I was excited for the chance to try the Nanit.
It was easy to set up out of the box. I love the low-profile floor stand and the cord protector that keeps the cord tidy against the wall (and will prevent accidents when my daughter is bigger and able to grab things outside of the crib). It fits seamlessly into our nursery design.
The video quality is great. While video monitoring isn’t essential for us right now, I could see this becoming really useful when she’s able to sit up and stand in bed. We tried the breathing band for a couple of nights. It worked very well but seemed a little over the top for our needs - it almost made me more nervous to know I could check her respiratory rate throughout the night.
I was really concerned about data security with a video monitor in my baby’s room after hearing several horror stories about hacking. I did some research on this and it seems Nanit has the best security profile of any monitor on the market.
My only real complaint is the lack of an included parent unit. It would be a big expense to buy a dedicated tablet, so we used our phones. Some nights, we forgot to open the app and put it in “night mode.” When this happened, the Nanit did not alert us when she was making noise and we only heard her crying when it escalated to the point we could hear it from our bedroom. I wish the Nanit had a parent unit you could leave in the bedroom, while using phones or other devices while up and about.
Overall, I think Nanit is the best video baby monitor on the market. If you like to have as much data as possible about your sleeping baby (and can get past the parent unit issue above), you won’t be disappointed. I’m really happy to have mine and know it will only become more useful as she gets older and more mobile.

Great birds eye view

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Nanit Pro Monitor and Floor Stand through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The included breathing band was too small for my 10-month old, but I did purchase the larger one on my own so I could try it out. I so wish I had this monitor with this last cold and flu season, with the RSV, covid, croup, and who knows what else. The breathing band and insights worked great, and we didn’t get any false alarms during our use. I can definitely see how this could provide some peace of mind with a newborn. I will say I didn’t care for the fit of the band over a sleep sack - it was a little scrunched and looked uncomfortable. The floor stand was relatively easy and intuitive to put together. It seemed a little more wobbly than I expected, but my baby never messed with it. I was unable to use the wall mount bracket because of the depth of our baseboards. The camera itself provides an awesome bird’s-eye-view of the crib, and the push notifications for sound and movement were convenient, though sometimes delayed. While away for the weekend, I loved being able to check in on baby and see how she was sleeping, and that I could recall the video moments where she made noise or moved even hours later. I do wish the camera could be rotated with greater range of motion via the app. I often use the camera in our older son’s room to find him when he climbs out of bed, so I can see how there might be some limitations with this camera as baby gets older. Overall, I would recommend, if the extra bells and whistles are a priority for you.

Great camera for constant information

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as a member of the Stellar Review Product Panel. My first impression of the Nanit camera pro was the ease of installation with the floor stand. The product goes together with ease, and difficulty wise is quite simple.
The app is easy to use, the only drawback I had when pairing with my iPhone pro was I had to have my phone practically sitting on the camera to pair. Once it mated up I had no issues.
For the tech and data inclined person, this camera is amazing! The ability to track growth, breathing if you use the band, and overall sleep quality is great. Compared to others I have used the information you get off this is second to none.
The down side that I experienced could’ve been due to my internet, but as we monitored our son during a nap, the screen would occasionally buffer. This isn’t something I’m used to happening. Again that may have been an internet issue, but that is the sole reason I didn’t give this five stars.
I’d you’re a data driven parent like myself, this is the camera for you!
