Intermittent touch lag can often be resolved by performing a quick force restart (quickly press and release volume up, then volume down, then press and hold the power button until the Apple logo appears) and ensuring your device is updated to the newest iPadOS version.
If that doesn't fix the issue, you can also take advantage of Apple's standard 1-year hardware warranty. We suggest heading to an Apple store first so they can diagnose your device.
