Sleek and Powerful System

It is very thin and sleek but has enough power to preform all daily functions as well as extra things such as playing video games and running multiple programs at one time. The screen has great resolution and color quality and the keyboard and trackpad respond wonderfully. I have used the machine for multiple days at a time and the charge lasts for a very long time. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking for a new notebook for awhile now. When I saw the specs for the new HP Elitebook 840 G9. I knew this would be a great fit for me. The 14” is a perfect size for on the go. Graphics are amazing. Windows 11 pro with 12th generation intel core i7 processor. 16gb memory and 512gb storage is perfect for my business. The HP Wolf pro security edition is a huge benefit and the HP sure sense makes me feel protected. Very light weight makes it easy to take with me to my appointments. I do a lot of teams and zooms calls. With the 5mp camera with HP auto frame conferencing features that are built in its the perfect notebook for me. Highly recommend.

For some reason it shipped with Windows 10. Windows Update did not offer a Windows 11 upgrade (not even 2021 H2). With a modest effort using an ISO download from MS I was able to upgrade to Windows 11 2022 H2.

The computer is by far faster than my previous one (HP Pavilion). Also, it is much easier to lug around since it is lightweight. However, is computer tends to freeze every now and then. Many time I try to open my brower or a Microsoft Word Doc, this computer freeze for about 10 minutes before refreshing itself. In addition, the fan noice is a little loud. Overall a solid computer, but could be better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
