Impossible to convert

I love it as a crib, but it is a lie to say it is a 4 in 1. I cannot find the supposed toddler bed guardrail anywhere. The only one I have found says it is compatable with the “Benton + changing table ONLY, not the original Benton.”

I have the Grace Benton 4-in-1 crib but like many other commenters before me, am unable to find a conversion kit for purchase.

Misleading Description

Like so many other reviews state, this bed is not a true conversion bed. I bought this in 2000 based on description that it could be converted into a toddler bed. No such conversion exists. Now that my child is ready for a toddler bed I'm forced to basically buy a new bed since the 'toddler bed' for this model is just taking the entire front railing off and leaving the metal frame completely exposed.

To reiterate the other negative reviews: There is not a way to convert this crib to a toddler bed without buying a conversion kit that the manufacturer implied was unnecessary in the ads. I cannot find the kit in any event, and I’d need two. Moreover, the top rails shed paint when my twins were teething, which is unacceptable. What a disappointment from Graco.

I purchased this for my daughter 2 years ago thinking that it would last her for a few years. unfortunately this does not include anything for the conversation to toddler bed. It is literally just a crib. Extremely disappointed.

BEWARE: NO Toddler Safety Rail for THIS Model (?)

How can this company advertise that it converts to toddler bed, but is THE crib that does not accommodate a safety rail? Isn't Graco a company that make safe products for babies and toddlers? How irresponsible was the design for this! I would like Graco to explain in print why this model was intentionally designed for no safety rail.
