Great travel laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice laptop for travel work. I really like how it's nice and light and also has an integrated smart card reader (I'm military so it's nice to not have to carry around a USB CAC reader). I also like that it has a thunderbolt USB-C port so it can be docked at home to our nice monitor and other peripherals with a single plug. I would not recommend this laptop for gaming as it only has integrated Iris graphics and no additional NVidia or AMD graphics card. However, that was never the intent of this machine and it serves its work purpose beautifully.
Pros: Lightweight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HP EliteBook 640 14 inch G9 Notebook PC - Wolf Pro Security Edition is extreemly thin, light weight, and stylish.I am replacing an old dell laptop with a modern looking notebook that is half the weight and I cannot venture a guesss on the difference in capabilities. It has a lit keyboard for easier use in dark areas. This notebook comes with a year of WOLF Security to protect you computer. I could not be happier than with this HP EliteBook 640 14 inch G9 Notebook PC - Wolf Pro Security Edition!!!!
Pros: Affordable, Lightweight

and it is now my go to laptop.

I like the 14 inches screen size, for me, it is the perfect size, not
too big to easily carry the laptop around and not too small to actually
open several windows and get some work done.

The performances are also great, it comes with Intel I5 CPU, 16GB of RAM
and 512 GB Hard Disk Drive. These specifications allow most of the
usage. It comes with windows 10 but after few upgrades it will install
windows 11.

The battery life is OK, it is hard to really gauge because it depends so
much on the usage but it last almost a day without charging.

Concerning security I like that the laptop uses a fingerprint sensor. No
risk to give the password by mistake. I also like the data encryption.

The screen resolution and quality are also nice. Of course you can

It turns out the sound is not bad, I was surprised by the quality but of

This laptop is lightweight, sleek and so fast! It has plenty of storage and RAM, and I can’t wait to see what it can do for me. So far, I’m very impressed. The startup speed is quick, it saves files quickly and loads websites very quickly also.

It comes with HP Wolf securtiy already install so I am safe while using my computer. It is also easy to use and light weight when sitting on my lap. It also has the latest intel processor and the speakers are crystal clear. Has some nice accessories you can purchase like a wireless keyboard and a docking monitor. I'm on my computer all day long and could not be happier, you will love it!

The set-up when it arrived was easy to follow and although it took a bit for all the updates, once those were done, I've had no issues. Starts up quick, process speed is awesome, and graphics are crisp! I love how lightweight it is, but also has the 14" screen so I don't struggle to see what I'm working on. The trackpad is nice and smooth and I like all the different settings you can do to personalize the notebook for all your preferences.

Also very easy to get setup! You pretty much login to your google account and all of your stuff is there. My.16 year old daughter tried ti claim it for yourself.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The single most important computer in the house is my wife's laptop. All finance handling, trip planning, family scheduling, and on-line shopping happen on that device and it is old, slow, and infuriating. Hats off to it lasting 6 years, but it was time for an upgrade. Besides being slow to start, the reduced battery life, and heft, some web sites were taking a REALLY long time to load because they push a lot of the processing onto the computer.
The HP EliteBook 640 was the perfect answer to our needs. It checks all of the boxes and includes Wolf Pro Security to boot!
The things we love about it:
1. Small, light, and easy to carry around
2. USB-A, USB-C, and HDMI inputs means not needing an adapter/dongle on hand at all times
3. Speedy processor means speedy web-browsing and a speedy hard drive means speedy start-up.
4. Plugging in to a 4k monitor is seamless and smooth
5. Long battery life
6. Backlit keyboard
7. Easy to set up

Testing the graphics ability a bit I loaded up Desktop Simulator. It uses a lot of processing power to accurately simulate the physics of different objects. I loaded up a bunch of marbles and blocks, gave them a shake, and threw them across a simulated table and it was really impressive how smoothly and accurately everything moved even compared to my gaming machines.
The is an excellent laptop and it deserves the 5 star rating. Great job, HP!
