A Powerful Computer But Disappointing Reliability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this computer for a year and I would say without hesitation that it is not ready for the C-Suite or any executive situation where you need a reliable machine. I purchased one of the top of the line models and while the power is remarkable for 3D modeling and rendering, the undependable nature, especially when participating in important meetings, has been a disappointment. Of primary concern is the computer freezing while in sleep mode and refusing to wake up, requiring a hard restart that can cause unsaved work to be lost, or delays starting time sensitive presentations. The computer will also free at the log-in page, denying the ability to enter a password or pin, a problem that also requires a hard restart. When paired with the top of the line, and very expensive ThinkPad Thunderbolt 4 Workstation Dock, the computer will frequently stop transmitting to additional monitors. If you have program windows open on the other monitors, sometimes you will not be able to see them on the laptop's screen when the additional monitors stop working, forcing you to unplug cables, turn the dock off and back on, or restart the computer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This machine has a 16.5-inch screen. Now I do not need a monitor & its battery life is great, I do not need the charger for over 5 hours!!

Ubuntu 22.04 nvidia-support

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great machine. It is Ubuntu certified but you might have to wait before they iron out the support for nvidia-drivers in 22.04 LTS. Especially if you don't want to revert back to an older kernel as the 20.04LTS from factory comes with an older kernel.
Lenovo is very quick when is comes to providing support for ThinkPads so this should be resolved soon.

Worst Laptop ever purchased!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This brand new computer is extremely slow to power up. Much slower than even my 4 year older model. Biggest issue is that I have is for some unknown reason it does NOT charge when plugged in like it should, so the battery life drains to zero and it won't recharge. Errors that I'm not using the proper power source keep popping up when I log in, and I also purchased an alternate compatible source as well which gets the same error function. This laptop is extremely heavy as well, essentially an extremely overpriced paper weight at this point. Total piece of junk and disappointment considering its the 3rd consecutive Lenovo I've purchased. So disappointed!! Do NOT recommend.

Best Laptop for Revit Users

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thinkpad workstations has been my primary tool for our projects. 1st one was W500, then replaced by P50. When I looked for replacement for my P50, the first choice was P15 Gen2. Before I placed order, this Thinkpad P16(not Lenovo P16) came on youtube as new comer. I searched all avaible videos online, but not much review( I guess it was too new). even un-boxing videos are not that many.
Anyway, I need a new machine and I have to order one. Based on my trust with Lenovo on quality and performance, I ordered this one. I even recorded my un-boxing video, and I definitely will record some videos on using it on Revit on our projects. Order the better GPU, 4K monitor if you need best colors(like I do). I can see much better performance on Adobe app, too.
