[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would buy again in the future, the build is 10 out of 10. The speakers are perfect, the screen and battery are amazing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop is amazing - incredible battery, performance, screen, everything I’ve wanted. It even supports secure core for enhanced security. Some minor issues I encountered included the speaker cable being loose when I first received the laptop. It also occasionally fails to wake up from sleep and has to be rebooted.
The machine is great overall but there are a few problems for me. It works fast but it gets super hot (coming from a chromebook and this was never a problem), there is no turn on screen when lid is open function (the start up is kinda slow for me considering the old chromebook was booted up and ready as soon as the lid was opened), and the body of the computer picks up fingerprints especially if you touch your face (which I tend to do when I'm thinking) then the computer. I've also foind that the battery runs down very quickly which is odd because it's a brand new machine. These are all minor inconveniences but I imagined they'll all come to haunt me one day when I'll really heed it to impress.
It's a solid laptop and it feels sturdy. I haven’t been using it long enough to make a conclusive review but keep in mind that my problems may just be limited to me.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a long-time ThinkPad user, partially for the Trackpoint but also because of the quality the ThinkPad division has come to be known for. This model is no exception. I was hesitant when I learned that there were no dedicated tactile buttons for Trackpoint clicks, but the haptic feedback from the trackpad is great. The "click" feedback is customizable. I have found it needs to be raised in loud environments, but the fact that it can be changed is great. I love the vegan leather wrap. There are some complaints I have read regarding lack of ports given that the 13" model has only two USB-C ports. That said, you don't typically purchase a 13" laptop for is extensibility. If I needed a workstation with more ports, I would bring along a full size laptop. Carrying a lightweight port replicator with this laptop is not a big deal. I have used this laptop connected to a Dell port replicator and have driven dual 31" monitors at 2560x1440 with no performance degradation.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the 2.8k OLED and was disappointed. It looks like a window screen, you can see a grey mesh. The laptop also gets hot. The form factor was great.
