NYS e-file problem

Spent hours trying to get my 2022 Business taxes filed. Finally found a thread that said Turbotax forms would not be updated until 2/24. That didn't happen, now they are saying 3/3 and these are due by 3/15. Many unhappy customers

It's a great program. I wish one feature was improved. It would help when changing some data. That is the Override feature. Sometimes it doesn't indicate any origin, or the origination is vague. Other times there is a data chain of forms and fields of the data's origin but is not fully identified.

Turbo Tax Business is adequate but could be better

I'm a longtime user of Turbo Tax for personal returns; 1st time user of Turbo Tax Business. It "went the distance" and enabled me to get an LLC 1065 return efiled, saving me over $600 in accountant fees. But I had to mail a "Superseded Return" because I had incorrectly answered the query (in Step by Step): "Is this Qualified Business Income?" I wish the code were more "foolproof" in catching such novice mistakes: from the previous answers (Business Code; Rental Real Estate), it should have flagged my No answer to the QBI query. Is Turbo Tax Business for the use of experts only? Also, why doesn't it allow the Superseded (or Amended) returns to be efiled? Other Tax codes do that, and the IRS accepts efiles of such modified returns. Finally, Turbo Tax doesn't allow the PA 65 return to be efiled (because of some abstruse difference between the Federal Sch K1 and the corresponding PA RK1). That's fine, but such back-outs must be disclosed up front.

Easy to use

It's easy to use & leads you right through it. But in the review to E-File, it goes back to places that need attention & that's where I get lost so I have to mail in taxes instead of E-File. If it weren't for that end review I'd give it 5 stars. I'm doing a Complex Trust 1041. I've been using TurboTax to do the Trust for 6 years.

Does the job but.....

I'm able to use this to file my business tax return so in that respect, its serviceable. However, I have to maintain a spare windows computer just so that I can do it each year since it's not available online and there isn't a mac version. Both seem crazy in 2022.
Some of the balance checks being at the dollar level vs at a cents level make it a little painful to reconcile since books are recorded to the penny and rounding up each item first doesn't necessary get to the same final number if you did that and then rounded.
There are also some error checks that seem wrong or just don't explain. Would love to see that process cleaned up as it makes getting from nearly ready to file to actually ready to file pretty painful.
All that said, once again, its serviceable and I'm able to file my return. When I have my accountant review before filing, he's always impressed so I'm not sure if I'm nitpicking too much, but it does feel like this is more complicated than needed.
