Business Turbo Needs to Imprive

There are several awkward things about using TurboTax Business for a 1041. Mostly you can't import stock sales. Also, it always runs the review with no errors before reporting one when I try to print. Same "missing" justification for my income distribution deduction on my 1116 every year.

Pretty good product for self-filers

It was easier to file second year in a row, since some of my data was loaded and I also had comparison entries. One thing that wasn't good the state product, which I had purchased together with federal and the program was trying to sell it to me again anyways, I would have thought they could just search for it automatically or have a hyperlink in the email that would link it instead of me having to locate download codes. Other than that pleased to use it.

Need a MacOS Version

User interface is antiquated and hasn't changed for 2 decades at least. Just horrible, not full screen, font is bad, and only runs on Windows. Part if the poor user experience is due to Windows. Nevertheless, this software is old, buggy, and I dread using it every year, let alone paying for it. ugh....

Tons of errors and workarounds within TurboTax. Unfortunately, retail filers have no other viable option if you have a S corporation.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

Not intuitive, but certainly usable!

The platform itself is not nearly as intuitive and simple as the online personal tax filing version. That said, it's clearly laid out with step by step instructions, and if you are willing to venture into filing your own taxes for your small business, this product works!

Ok product, Terrible Support

I ran into a few problems, but by far the overarching issue is SUPPORT. I was unable to e-file, the SW just showed error message that said to update SW (which I did) and then to go online for support. At first, I could not find how to actually ask anything on the website so I called...and got into an endless loop in which the only recourse was to pay $29 to speaks to a rep (apparently it thinks I have a free version). After quite a bit of searching on the community site, I found out that others have encountered this problem (search should be better so as not to waste so much time before getting to this point). It turns out you can efile the federal separate from state, and that allowed me to at least get the federal filed successfully. For the state, a date was given in hich it would be available (2/24)- that date came and went and now a new date 3/3 is given. The deadline to file NY business is 3/15 so this is cutting it close- I suspect I will have to mail it in. My main concern is that you don't have a good way of letting us know what the issue resolution is! It took me hours... TT-you've got to do a better job!

turbo saves time

turbo saves time but needed help during the filing process. it kept looping in the tax review session, due to not needing a form that was included. The support person helped me figure it out very quickly.
