Dumped CPA

Used a CPA firm for the last two years to file our returns. We created an S-Corp and an out of state LLC. I didn't feel comfortable doing it myself the first couple years. All the work is really in the preparation. CPA firm filed extensions every year and dragged out "tax time" unnecessarily. Had the feeling they were too busy. Furthermore, we did not receive the tax consultive service we had hoped for, so we are back to TurboTax. I am happy to have "what if" powers back in my own control!

Business product is OK but needs work

Hung up today for a long time when trying to get Audit Defense. When it worked, screen would not allow me to submit the request. So had to bypass that option. Some errors were only discovered when I submitted the forms for efile. Should have been detected much earlier.

There is no explanation if you have a question. During the REVIEW, if there is an error it just keeps going back to the error for you to fix it with no explanation of what it wants.

Turbo Tax LLC with Confidence

First time doing an LLC filing and purchased the Turbo Tax Business. I have been using Turbo Tax for individual filing and wasn't sure I would know all the ins and outs of Business. This software made it just as easy to complete with confidence.

Couldn't import my QuickBooks data. The new QuickBooks is out of my price range and is not useful to me. Looks like this is my last year of QB or Turbotax, both personal and business.

OMG-Please make this for MAC already!

The software works just fine-except for there is not much instruction for Special Allocations to LLC partners. Also, when you transfer info from year to year, there should be some clear way of getting rid of/locating data that is not relevant for the current year. By far, the most annoying thing is that I am forced to use a PC instead of a Mac because Turbo Tax does not make a Business version of their software for Mac. I had to buy a stupid PC computer for the sole purpose of doing a tax return and it takes everything I have not beat it into a gazillion pieces with a sledge hammer every year when I drag it out of a closet to do the return. PLEASE MAKE A MAC BUSINESS VERSION so I don't have to use a PC even for one day of the year.
