This was a lifesaver

I had spent at least 6 weeks trying to do a 1041 for a trust and how to answer questions related to the trust on a personal return. I called Turbotax and explained my problem. She patiently worked backwards and told me what I needed to do. She suggested I buy the TurboTax for Business to complete the 1041 return for the trust. It was amazing! In less than 2 hours, I had filled in all the blanks and had all the forms I needed and was ready to efile the return.

Great except for no 1099-B upload feature

The software is easy to use for Trusts. But it does not allow you to upload the 1099-B data from your broker, or attach the 1099-B report as an attachment. You have to mail it to the IRS.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Really Disappointing

Last year I followed TT recommendation and purchased a programforpersonal/smallbusiness. This year I followed their recommendation again,spent over $200, filed my taxes,and found out after I needed a seperate business program. I had to spend another $200 on this second program. I'm not a tax expert at all, and if I followed
their incorrectrecommendation, Lord knows what else I trusted during the process of doing my taxes that is also incorrect. I'm prepared for an audit, and will no longer trust my taxes to Turbo Tax going forward.

Turbo Tax has problems this year

I filed two returns electronically for trusts. Both worked fine. They were accepted quickly. Each had K-1's attached. I did not notice that both of them were blank. After some time spent to determine why, I discovered that the returns showed that there was no distribution. For some reason I was not directed to the questions about distributions.
I am now trying to use Turbo Tax to try and file amended returns for both. I cannot use electronic filing so I tried to print for mailing. When it printed for mailing the first page was the instructions for electronic filing and no instructions for where to mail etc. On one of the trusts I am getting 5 or 6 errors and it does not make sense as to what the problem is.
I have used TT for many years, but am going to look around next year.

Turbo tax business is a solid program. Each year it gets better. Handling of depreciation schedules is great and the guided tour method is complete. Recommend for small business owners

very good program. Does depreciation very well, but it would bve nice to see the impact of excess 179 deduction, so as to make a decision as to depreciate an asset over time verses 1 year expense

2022 is the Best Year ever for Turbo Tax Small Biz

I never thought I'd see the day that Intuit Improved the Turbo Tax to really work form small and S-Corp related companies that provide a service and make a small profit (or loss)
