Frozen in time, no real improvements last 20 yrs

Basic stuff works great. But then again - who needs help with them. I know how to read w-2 boxes and use them on income side.
Complex stuff - no explanation - rather complex stuff are asked of me to decide and enter in forms!!?!?!? If I knew them, I would not need tax software.
I have been using TurboTax since 2021.
I have yet to see an improvement where it matters - stuff an ordinary person cannot do - like QBI (just one of several examples).

Not compatible with Quickbooks Online

Turbo Tax B - Virginia Continues to have Problems

Something wrong in the logic triggering TTax Business Pass Through Entities to think the form 502A is needed. The 502A is only require if the LLC, partnership etc. has income from sources outside Virginia. The temporary solution is to delete form 502A manually to force the Virginia e-filing to work. This is a 43 year old problem that has not been correct by TT.

Entering data was great, sending was difficult

Completing the 1041 overall was easy, but electronic sending was impossible. I had to mail them. I couldn't talk to an expert. All I got was previous examples which were helpful, but more time consuming.

Need better instructions/help for using summary method to report numerous stock trades with brokerage detail to be attached. Suggestion: The program should ask immediately whether trades are to be reported individually or summarized. The present program seems to start by assuming that individual transactions are to be reported and requires entry of details that are confusing and unneeded if the summary method is the preferred choice.

Product OK, Disappointed with Integration

Turbo Tax Business itself works well, but terrible integration with Quickbooks. Intuit should do much, much better in this respect. Not intuitive (pun intended) at all. If you are using Turbo Tax Business as stand alone, it will likely work well for you and it is a good product.
