Not happy with TurboTax Business

I wasn't happy with the TurboTax Business. I had a hard time sending my VA Business Taxes and could not get assistance in solving this problem.

Helpful filing for LLC Business

We have pretty simple returns, but this was helpful making sure nothing was missed. Unfortunately the GA application always has the Film Credit form with it and you have to manually remove that form if you have nothing to do with film, but otherwise the state filing was easy as well.

Hard to use, non-descriptive, multiple errors

TurboTax keeps pushing a $800 LLC annual tax (California) which is not required due to a first-year (see: initial return) exemption. Also, TurboTax is not properly outputting capital accounts on Schedule K-1s (even though it puts the right capital contributions on the state form)

Only a few areas that help and google searching leave a little vague but for the most part a robust and well documented program. Been using business and home products for many years to file for 3 businesses and personal taxes. Thanks!

Not available on mac unlike every turbotax product

The fact that this is the only turbotax program program available for mac is quite ridiculous. I have to track down a windows PC (Pieceof Crap) every year just to use this program. PLEASE MAKE A VERSION FOR MAC. If you can develop every single one of your other programs for a mac, you can do this one. Put on your big boy pants and port it over, this is 2023.

TurboTax is the best tax return prep software

I've been using TurboTax since the early 1990's and it's far better than any other form of tax preparation (except a CPA), and that includes all "live" tax preparers from the traditional retail tax prep stores. I file 5 tax returns per year--1 as a business as a self-employed contractor (S-corp), 1 as a rental property owner (LLC), 1 as a partner in a real estate investment trust, 1 as a personal trust, and a personal return with my husband, who is a W-2 director with a large company that pays him a salary (covering multiple states), a bonus, and stock options. I use TurboTax Business for my S-corp, LLC, and personal Trust, and I use TurboTax Premier for our personal return. I use a CPA for my REIT Partnership. I was audited only once back in 1996 after being pulled into a Partner's IRS Tax Audit. My TurboTax returns were found to be as clean as a whistle from the IRS auditor and I was NOT charged with any penalties or interest by the IRS. I firmly believe that using TurboTax tax prep software has kept my tax returns clean and correct. I will continue to use TurboTax for as long as I can prepare my own taxes or when I need to use a CPA because the tax returns are too difficult and/or need tax prep for items not included in the TurboTax software, such as mineral rights. I highly recommend all the TurboTax software versions.
