TurboTax Business needs some attention

I had a lot of issues getting my Income, Retained Earnings and Balance Sheet to balance. The program seems to hide some hidden numbers for assets. It is in the total but doesn't not show up. Had to go to forms and do it the old fashioned way. Also it would not file my state taxes. It ran into an issue about i called my company. It insisted that i was using a special charactor, but was not.. I called for help and he told me to take off the LLC and it worked. Never had that issue before.

The federal completion and electronic filing worked great. I was very disappointed that after downloading the State of Iowa that I couldn't use it because TT couldn't electronically file the return!

Turbo Tax is Awesome!

I find Turbo Tax to be very instructive for tax preparation. I have used it for several years for filing my Partnership return and my personal tax return.

Not as simple as the individual forms but done!

As expected I got my returns completed. The federal one I was able to do with just the in app prompts and help. The state form was not so smooth and I needed to search the internet. I also had to fill in a Pass Through Entity Representative, used NONE for the name, even though selection of pass through entity was not selected.

I did not understand the question about PPP, because it asked if I had applied for, or received, forgiveness of a PPP loan. I think it was asking if I any of that had been true during 2022 but that's not what it asked. So I am not sure that my shareholder stock and debt basis calculations were accurate. This is something that was on my taxes for the first time last year (can't remember if it was business or personal), and I did not understand it and Turbotax provided zero explanation. Turbot tax just stopped the interview, provided me the form to complete, with no explanation. I had to go to an accountant to ask how to complete that form before filing my taxes.

I find the Turbo Tax products easy to use and it carries over previous totals to make filing very straightforward.

As always, this year's TurboTax was super. Easy to use, except for correcting errors, and accurate with all of the questions and blanks.
