After having used TurboTax for over ten years, I am done with TurboTax. The reason is simple, they no longer give you anything. You have to pay for the program, then pay for the state, oh and let's not forget, you must pay for the electronic filing. Now, when it's all added up you could just about take it to have someone do it cheaper.

Has always been a very good product

One comment though: I would like you to show us a running total of our deductions or at least the total in order to see how close we are to perhaps exceeding the Standard Deduction. Since I usually assume that the SD is the best option I usually put in an estimate for each deduction. If I knew how close we were to the SD I would dig in deeper to define each deduction.

ASKING FOR IMPOSSIBLE INFORMATION

Your software is asking for those of us lving abroad to include a phone number that correlates with the standard way phone numbers are written in the USA. That is impossilbe, thus, in order to file, one has to put down a phone number of a relative in the States.

Download issue

Typed the download address and logged in, the window to activate the download did not appear. Not sure what I did, but after 30 minutes of clicking around, I tried the website again and then again and then finally the window opened.

I had trouble with my 2021 taxes and the representative helped through it all. He spend an hour and a half with me with lots of patience. I'm so grateful for the help

they even try to tell me how to writ the review, I am sick of the upsell thru it and it seams to get more complicated . its supposed to be easy. think about us older people that are not keeping up with the tech crap. probably wont even post this because its not a raving 5 star .Oh ya they want to collect to much personal info. its non of turbo tax biz who I am, I paid for it that should be good enough.

IT WAS A NIGHTMARE TRYING TO FILE THE STATE TAXES WHICH HAD A ZERO PAYMENT AMOUNT AND A ZERO REFUND AMOUNT. YET IT FORCED ME TO FILE FOR A $45 CHARGE FOR SUBMITTING ELECTRONICALLY THE SOUTH CAROLINA RETURN
