No real life deductions

TurboTax is an excellent tax preparation software!

I've been using TurboTax to prepare my federal income tax returns for many years. It seems to get better each year, and with the complex IRS tax regulations of today is almost essential to the individual taxpayer who desires to do their own tax preparation without having to hire an expensive accountant.

Easy to use but ended up being more money

Software was easy to use . liked the step by step- paid $50 for the basic turbo tax download which I thought was fair, then had to pay another $40 something for state taxes and then at the end they hit you with another $40 to file state and another $25 to e file.SO that was very disappointing and not what I expected at all.

should have paid attention that state not included. I did realize it was basic and not meant for itemizing I .paid 39.00 then for a state upgrade it requested an additional 45.00. a total of 84.00 all in The deluxe can be purchased for 59.00including state.If you know you will be taking the standard deduction ,have basic incomes and also wish to proceed with state taxes buy the deluxe. I will consider other software next year.
