I can't imagine doing taxes without the help of something like Turbo Tax. For 5 years while we were living in Europe, we had an accountant do our taxes because of the hard to understand items. Now that we're back, the expertise of Turbo Tax can get us through this confusing process.

Another Stress-free Filing

The program is easy to use; takes you step-by-step through each section, so I feel confident that my return is correct and that I got the maximum refund. I also like the reminders before I file to make sure I get this done in time to avoid penalties and I like the alerts after filing to let me know how things are progressing.

The Online (Browser) Version of TurboTax is Better

The online version of TurboTax is leaps and bounds ahead of the desktop version. I purchased the desktop version to save a few bucks (i think I saved $40 on federal and $15 on state). However, next year I will just eat the L and use the online version again. It is much more confusing and stressful to use the desktop application. If you are a boomer, desktop app is probably best for you. But for anyone that doesn't enjoy doing their taxes, I would avoid the desktop app.

My son's Turbo Tax for 2022

The process requested a lot of repeat information which did not auto-fill. Possibly this was due to filling my son's previous year's return on a different computer. Turbo Tax did not have the previous year's file to pull information from. Otherwise, the entire process was very simply.
