Having to order without actually seeing it, I was not aware that it had neither a timer nor a sensor to determine when the oven had reached the correct temperature, two especially necessary features in my opinion. The lack of a clock is not a problem for me. On the positive side, the stove top heats quickly, the oven bakes evenly and the broiler is awesome.
Stove top and oven work simply and well. If designing same stove would have put nobs on top not front. Moved some pans as drawer below for Pots and pans is smaller. Put battery powered timer up top as seeing blank top took all a little time to get used to. Enjoy using oven again with new stove. Like easy clean black stove top for spills.
Just had Range JB480S2SS installed. We like the front controls, what we wanted so not reaching over a hot surface of cookware in use. The oven control is a rheostat type knob, where rotate the knob to set the oven temperature. There is a few degrees of rotate looseness, kind of like a car with loose steering. Mindful of that, so center the loose play on a temperature setting, with an oven thermometer hanging from a oven rack, the middle level, the temperature runs 30 degrees hot. There is no way to adjust for this like an electronic oven.. just have to be mindful of this when baking. I'll have to press "will recommend to a friend ", but no practical time used with it yet.
STOVE IS GREAT , GLASS TOP IS NICE AND BLACK, IT COMES WITH A LIQUID ASND SCRUBBER TO CLEAN YOUR STOVE . IT HAS NO CLOCK ON DISPLAY BUT IT HAS A LIGHT FOR THE OVEN AND KNOBS AND CAME WITH TWO RACKS FOR INSIDE THE OVEN. FINALLY IM ABLE TO COOK FAST.
GE used to be one of my favorite companies, but sadly after less then a year I am realizing they have really lost the quality they were once known for. Although I will say the glass top is nice to have and mostly works fine, the heat isn't consistent. The oven runs hot and I am struggling with it, if something says it takes 10-13 minutes, you better check it at 7. But most annoying thing is the bottom drawer, seriously, total junk. Doesn't close 80% of the time, and when you do finally get it to close, its because you fought with it for 30 minutes. The
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there - We'd love to congratulate you on the new addition to your kitchen! While we're glad you're enjoying the appearance of this range, we're sorry to hear the heat is not consistent and you tend to struggle with the drawer. We can certainly understand how frustrating that would be and would love to be of guidance toward a better experience.
If you believe the oven temperature is too hot, luckily the baking temperature can be adjusted up to 35 degrees Fahrenheit hotter or cooler. You may check page 14 of the owner's manual here for instructions: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-2001027.pdf&_ga=2.3082160.1446839433.1646663196-1414303389.1639492534
If your oven drawer is not closing properly, check to be sure the power cord isn't obstructing the drawer in the lower back of the range. You may then reposition the drawer. Page 25 of your owner's manual contains helpful instructions on doing so.
We sure hope you find this information valuable. We appreciate your loyalty to GE appliances and take your feedback seriously. We will be sure to let our design and quality team know for future improvement. We're always here if you need anything. Have a great day. -Shayla@GEA
The only stove I could find with REAL knobs and not an electronic touchpad. Yay. Hoping this one will last. Please keep making stoves with real knobd. Touchpads are junk and simply stop working afer awhile; knobs last forever.
