So easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never used an electric outdoor grill and this one did not disappoint me at all. I love the fact that all I had to do was plug it in and start cooking and I did not have to worry about gas or charcoal. The grill heated to the perfect temperature and did this very quickly, the food cooked so evenly and I actually cooked a steak without the flair ups I get with gas and charcoal. The grease tray makes for a very easy clean up and nothing drips all over my patio. The grill was also very easy to put together and only took us about 30 minutes and it was ready to use. This will be my go to grill from now on, it is awesome.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very cool grill

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, for starters assembly, VERY EASY!
My husband put it together in under an hour. Not using the manual, but by following the video. It is the easiest step by step assembly following the video. I will admit my husband didn’t plug in the one wire into the digital box under the grill. It is held up with some other wires & an east miss. As soon as I found it, the grill turned on, heated up to the desired temperature we set it on & my family had some grilled hot dogs in minutes. The self clean is amazing! Yes The grates do need scraping there is an ash after it self cleans.
The Charbroil - Edge Electric Grill heats up pretty quick, equal to using gas & quicker than charcoal. It is definitely easier to cook on the Charbroil - Edge Electric Grill, no fire flare up when grease drips down.
The flavor is good, but obviously it’s not the fried bbq flavor. It does have the hint of the Smokey taste. It taste grilled not bbqed.
There are definitely pluses, there are some minuses too. Our grill usually off to the side of our patio, now the Charbroil - Edge Electric Grill will have to be kept closer to the house being it plugs into the outlet, on the house. It’s not too hot so about 12-18 inches from the house.
It is a very cool girl, the digital display is bright, very easy to figure out & use.
The self clean is just a quick touch of a button & takes about 20 minutes to complete.

For the most part we are very satisfied with this grill. Easy to assemble with 2 people.
It reaches and maintains high heat 600+ degrees as it claims; and cooks food quite nicely on a very generous cooking surface. If I had one negative comment is that it's not easy to clean the grill plates; but other than that we love it!

We are using this grill almost everyday. Love the ease of using an electric grill. Foods cooks evenly and tastes just like a gas grill. Thermostat is accurate. The best part is clean up is easy. Just wipe off or turn on self cleaning. We've had charcoal and gas grills and this electric grill is the best. Took about 2 hours to setup but well worth it! Easy to move and wheels will lock.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have been amazed that the transition from charcoal to gas to electric is not accompanied by any decrement is the cooking experience or food flavor. If anything, electric improves the experience. The grill heats evenly and predictably. There are no hot spots, the fire does not go out and it he and does not go empty.

it doesn't get up to selected temperature and even with the self cleaning it's very hard to clean

We also recommend seasoning the grates with high burning oil, such as canola oil, to help make cleaning easier, prevent food from sticking, and prolong their life. What I like: Rapid and precise heating; Uniform temperature over the cooking surface; Simple to use and no flare-ups; Less mess than charcoal; Reduced cost over propane cooking.
What I don't like: The cover height over the grill surface needs to be higher to cook taller foods; There needs to be more, and more constant, grill heat to maintain a smoker box; Food lacks smoky flavor (chicken tastes more like it was oven-cooked).
